- Submitted by parent on August 22, 2013My daughter and I moved here last year from Indiana. We actually came to visit my aunt for a few weeks and ended up staying. I was going through a nasty divorce with my daughter's father. I had debated on to go ahead and send my daughter to K-garten or to wait until this year, since she had just turned 5 around the start of school last year. I went ahead and sent her. She is having some emotional problems and I am told she has selective mutism. She has done very well in school, except for talking to others, but the teachers and staff have been so caring and helpful. Without all of them, I dont think we could have gotten through..Now i plan on keeping Gabby here in Rockcastle Schools for the remainder of her school years. I am very grateful that everyone has been a very positive impact on mine and her life...thank you.
