Jefferson is at the heart of this small community. Anyone who is anybody has gone to school there. The Jefferson family is tight. Everyone looks out for each other. When someone is down on their luck, everyone pulls together to help out. How many can say their school is a family?

Jefferson School has HEART!! Every child is valued, cared for, and nurtured by the entire staff including the crossing guard, janitors, the cooks, recess aides, clerical/office staff, teachers, instructional assistants, social worker, principal, and the parents. We are family!

The teachers go above and beyond and feel like part of our family! Our principal was voted best principal in the US a few years ago. We have wonderful support staff. It's situated right in the middle of our town and is home of the Morton Pumpkin Festival.

I have taught at Jefferson School for 17 years. When you work at Jefferson you aren't just part of the staff, you become part of the family. Our students don't just attend school from kindergarten through sixth, they become part of the family. Once a Jefferson Patriot, always a Jefferson Patriot! The whole Jefferson family is what gives heart of our school!
