I currently have (2) children attending this school for 3 years now. The teachers are not qualify to be lead teachers they lack the skills, knowledge and education needed to be an effective teacher for most of them they have no skills in classroom management, no understanding in child development, and no understanding in the areas of age appropriate behaviors. They are unable to create an effective lesson plan/ follow a well rounded routine. There are no checks and balances evolution on teachers and there performance. The amount of verbal abuse with some teachers is excessive and they don't understand that these children are not there own children you can not treat them however you please. When it comes to teacher AIDS they are not teacher and should not be teaching a math class solely or teaching anything at all . The principal MS Salma Ahmed is disengaged when it comes to parents and managing her stuff in a work environment.Ms. Ahmed is unfriendly and not approachable constantly kicking parents out she is a so called "drill sergeant" in her demeanor, personality and characteristics.

I feel so blessed to be able to send my kids to MCC Academy. I currently have two kids who have been there since preschool, and three more kids who will be joining as they reach school age inshallah. I believe in this school so much that I register every new kid I have the month they are born so I can be assured they get a spot. And I encourage friends and family to do the same. There is NOTHING that beats the amazing Islamic environment they have. From morning prayers to Islamic greetings, to kids leading a congregation prayer of 150 kids starting in first grade (and every kid gets a chance so they all build that confidence). There’s truly nothing like it to be found in any other school and something you can’t buy at home. Teachers are all accredited (not the case is other Islamic schools), curriculums regularly get updated, lots of opportunities for community outreach, a huge diversity in the student body, a family style personable approach. Most families will get to know each other so it’s really a community, unlike in public schools where you drop off at the door and have no idea who’s inside. I pray for their continued success and hope they continue to expand to give the next generations a strong foundation of deen! Some other pros:-Academically, kids here are well ahead of what public schools in the area (who are all rated A schools) are learning. Curriculum is challenging and sets you up for critical thinking-Safety is a big thing for them. School stays locked with security officers at all times. Cons:-Unfortunately they don’t have resources for children with special needs. Not their fault-they don’t get government funding for it the way public schools do, but still something I wish could change -Expensive, though they do have zakat funding for families who qualify. If you’re middle class and don’t qualify for financial aid though, it can really add up, especially with multiple kids. All in all, we literally couldn’t have asked for a bigger resource to ensure our kids get a great education, secular and religious. It should also tell you something that the majority of the kids who attend are from excellent school districts but parents still MCC academy for them!

I truly hate to give only two stars, but I must. Those stars are for a few of the excellent teachers at the school. They are deserving of the stars; however, the administration is not at all inspirational or responsive, unless you are a part of a small caste of families from a certain part of India (yes, I use the work caste, even though this is a Muslim school and Islam teaches that we are all equal). I agree with the previous parent. If you live in any of the north suburban school districts, save your money, send your child to weekend religious classes and/or hire a private Qua'ran teacher.

Students are NOT tested/placed into appropriate grade levels or privided proper resources. Some teachers are NOT good - they should be reviewed and probably replaced. Administration lacks control/professionalism - parents run the show and administration caves into their demands due to a lack of control and fear of retaliation. If you are well connected in the community, or plan to donate to the school and prefer being a big fish in a small pond, this school will cater to you. Especially if you have the Principals and the Vice-principal's cell phone numbers, just drop them a text and your kids will always end up with the handful of good teachers. This is a sad but true fact. If you are an average, hardworking, middle class member of this community, especially if you are not well connected, you will be held to a different set of rules. You should send your kids to a public school and hire a strong Quran teacher. You will not be treated fairly at this school. The school does provide an Islamic environment that is heathy and wholesome, but unfortunately it lacks in all other areas. They need to make big changes, but that is highly unlikely anytime soon.
