As fifth graders my two children are both graduating from Normandy Park School this year and have attended the school since Kindergarten. Both have had an amazing experience through their schooling and have excelled beyond our expectations. Their teachers are all very experienced and really effective. They are not afraid to manage the children with the right balance of learning, discipline, creativity and innovation. I love the multiage program concept as it gave my children two years with the same teacher. As a result their teachers knew them very well, giving them an opportunity to more purely define their strengths and areas for growth. The NPS Principal is outstanding. His open door policy, transparency and genuine interest in his student body set the tone for an amazing environment in the school. The administrative staff and school nurse treat the children like they are their own and provide a nurturing, caring and fun atmosphere. The years have gone by so quickly and I am grateful for the near perfect experience NPS has given my children.

NPS is an amazing school. The teachers and admin are second to none. They give each student the time and attention they need both academically and emotionally to allow them to thrive.

My son is in kindergarten this year and we have been thrilled with our first year at Normandy. We love the leadership and the teachers. We love how involved family and parents are with the school. Our son has thrived in the mixed-age environment and we look forward to another 5 years at NPS.

Our daughter is in her second year at NPS (currently a younger in a 2-3 classroom). I am consistently impressed with the quality of school leadership and the educator team. Our daughter benefits from attentive teachers, high standards, the mixed age dynamic, and all of the other wonderful resources within the school and larger NPS community (e.g., artists in residence programs, service projects, HSA programs, etc.) I'm particularly impressed with how the NPS staff promote and maintain a positive and compassionate school culture. If ever a concern arises, parents are assured that it will be addressed in the most thoughtful and appropriate manner.

My daughter recently started Kindergarten and I could not be happier with the experiences my daughter has shared with me in just the first few weeks! This school does an amazing job of teaching the olders to help the youngers in all ways. The olders are taught to be role models for the youngers and it fosters an incredibly cooperative environment for the children: from the school bus, to the classroom, to the playground I have heard all positive examples of students helping and teaching one another. Within the classroom, I have already noticed the benefits of a multiage setup and the less rigid, and more fluid, framework that this type of setting naturally produces. It is truly amazing when I hear my daughter explain how an 'older' helped her with reading a book and in the same day she was able to help a fellow 'younger' with a drawing task. So far, Normandy Park is exactly the type of unique learning environment we envisioned for our children.

Normandy Park School is an excellent school... though Morris School District has many great school when comparing this school to another elementary- I must say that the teachers are more conscious of your child's needs..and they are more eager to make sure they close any gaps in the learning process. My twins are excelling... I am happy to be a part of this community! Great Staff.. and Great Family Connections!

Great experience with our daughter attending this school. The teachers are very responsive and looking out for her best interest. We really like the multi-age program as it demonstrates mastery by the older kids helping mentor the younger students. Our daughter had some issues learning to read and the teacher identified the issues early on and provided individualized extra help and support to get her up to speed. We have seen a difference in her learning and progress, and the teacher has been open with us. Will be sending all our children to Normandy!!

The beauty of the Normandy Park School is in the family oriented atmosphere. The parents contribute on every level. They volunteer time, money, expertise, equipment, food etc or whatever may be needed to foster learning. I have 3 children that have been at Normandy since kindergarten. The staff is open to parent involvement and responsive to feedback. They put the best interests of the child first. The children are taught about working together as a part of the community. They are provided with opportunities to meet authors and professionals from various fields. Self reliance is encouraged and fostered by the "Olders" in each class level. The report cards initially seem daunting until you realize that they focus on the particular skills of each child, noting those skills that each student has mastered, has in progress and/or those skills that need additional support. After 7 years at the school and 1 child who has moved on to middle school, a fifth grader that is one the way out and a soon to be 4th grader I look back happy we chose Normandy.

My son attended Normandy Park and it was wonderfully nurturing and challenging based on the individual student's capabilities
