All three of my children have attended ICS and love it. As a parent I am very happy with the fact that my children are expected to be respectful and polite in addition to being good students. The principal is terrific as are the teachers. They truly love the students and love their jobs!

I attended ICS from 1987 to 1996, and based upon later experience in high school I feel confident in the assertion that Immacule Conception provides the finest education in Morris. A dynamic principal may be ICS's greatest boon, and a particular strength of the school is in the upper grades where students are properly prepared for the rigors of higher education. The science program is weaker than at the public schools, but this is more than outweighed by the great advantages within the other academic fields, especially in the language arts. The lack of uniform is remarkable for a Catholic school, but there is no lack of discipline among the students. Involvement of the pastor varies depending upon the interests of the individual pastor -- it has been very little and quite a lot over the years. Nonetheless, the religious instruction is superior to that available in CCD, and the Catholic ethos permeates the school. Typical 'small school' problems certainly arise (cliques, gossip, etc.) but the faculty dealt as sensitively as possible with such incidents in my experience. I credit my subsequent successes (a PhD) to the preparation and love of learning that I acquired at ICS.
