I was hoping to give this school a much higher review. That being said, we are nothing but displeased with the quality of educators that our child has been subjected to this year. How a teacher can remain employed when year after year their are numerous complaints lodged against them is beyond my comprehension. I would like to point out there are several other wonderful teachers at the school that I have met. It's a shame that a few "bad apples" can really ruin the reputation of the entire school.Principal Leadership: don't know who he is. Never seen him. Maybe go around the classes and see that the teachers are teaching and how they are teaching. Maybe stop by lunch for each time periods to see how the kids are doing. What they are being fed. Maybe walk around the school and recess during the day to give a high five or play basketball (wait there is nothing to play with for older kids, so shameful) with the kids. Maybe interact yourself with knowing who the kids parents are. Maybe get out of your office and socialize yourself with EVERYBODY. Maybe help out during drop off and pick up, because it's awful and peop who direct traffic outside are rude! Maybe SHOW that you care about our students. Parent Involvement: I think it would be a LOT better if the school would actually care what parents thought and took action. There's no activities for the kids to participate in. We cannot wait to transfer away from this school. Big mistake and no respect and understanding of military families!

The teachers work very hard to give students what they need to succeed. They truly care about the students. There are many opportunities for students to develop their own talents. Excellent school.

If you have a child that has special needs or just may need more attention this is not the school. i have had nothing but problem with my autistic daughter teacher and the vice principal. Anytime i want to talk about what is going on in class they act like i am just a great inconvenience.

I've had 4 children attend this school during the past 8 years. Prior to that they were in 3 other elementary schools in 2 other states. I have been very happy with this school. They have yet to have a teacher I haven't liked, and some of them have been jaw dropping outstanding. They have a newer principal who is more approachable than the previous one, but still manages the school well. PTO and parent involvement is very high and encouraged. I LOVE the talented and gifted program much better than the programs in the previous schools they attended. The music teacher is amazing! They have a dedicated art and foreign language teachers, as well. The children are learning Chinese even in K. The character program is based on Stephen Covey's Habits of Highly Successful people, plus teaching good manners is given high priority. Every classroom has computers and smart board technology, plus there is a computer lab. There is one recess a day and PE once a week. My only complaints? I'm not crazy about the Everyday math program and the holiday concerts have been way overcrowded. I think they have a new plan to address that this year, though.
