    This is got to be the worst school system I've ever seen. The people I know from town are pulling their children from the left and right. Magnet schools technical schools homeschooling. And it goes back generations. The school board is filled with some of the most ridiculous people who completely ignore the parents. There is no transparency. If your child has an IEP they basically will not teach them and will just socially promote them. Your child will get bullied and the school will do everything to cover it up. And to be perfectly honest with you I have heard more than once that they do not treat people of color very well. I know as a single mom I was completely treated like garbage. If you love your family do not move to East Haddam it is the worst here. I completely regret buying my home here. I cannot wait to hopefully sell it and get as far away from this place as possible.

    Education is average. Bullying is a problem-the administration does a poor job with discipline and refuses to recognize the bullying problem. Very unresponsive to parents concerns. Nothing to be proud of.
