Excellent overall. So many new, great things happening. Excellent character education curriculum and culture of equality and respect. Teachers shake hands with students as they enter the room, and laughter and joy is heard in classrooms. After school LEGO robotics and garden clubs are thriving. Excellent math and literature curriculum. New NGSS STEM standards are being taught and new STEM lab is growing with weekly STEM challenges. Outdoor team building trips for students. Excellent PTC involvement and support. Overall, great school for ALL students.

Excellent school! Hard working teachers and administrators who truly care about the students. I doubt any teacher at Johnson Elementary would tell a student to "buck up" and not talk about school with parents.

I contacted my daughter's teacher about a concern I have about how the classroom is run. In response, the teacher told my daughter she needed to buck up her attitude and should not complain about school at home anymore. I will be removing my children from this school for next year and cannot recommend a school that allows a teacher like this to work in the school.

I really like all the teachers that my children have had while attending Johnson. They have all been very supportive and my children have learned through their instruction. I think the staff is great and their seems to be as much parent involvement as the parent wants. I do not like that I call the school and the lady that answers the phone does not speak english.

I feel that the teachers did not sufficiently challenge my son in 1st grade. He would come home and complain that school was boring and he didn't want to go. He was in the high reading group but would come home with reading homework and projects that were way too easy for him. The school is not supportive of parent involvement and is very disorganized.
