The school is moving forward and making adjustments to all these new rules. The staff is caring and the principal is focused on preparing the students for their post secondary options. There is room for greater parent involvement.

Do NOT send your children to this school. Having recently graduated, I can say that this school is terrible. It does nothing but give your children a diploma. It in no way, shape, or form prepares them to go to college. I BEG you not to send your children here. The academics are subpar, and the student body has low morals and are a terrible influence. If you want your child to have any hope of going to college, send them to some other school. The only colleges you will get into after graduating from here are the most local ones, offering basic degrees. If you want your child to have a future and escape from this area, send them to nearly any other school besides this one. The only redeeming qualities are a supportive and attentive principle and the *occasional* teacher that cares.

This school was rediculous to say the least. I know a person who graduated and could not read. If you are in Macon County please send your children elsewhere. It does nothing to get your children ready for college. If you do send them there make sure you are working with them after school so they are actually learning.

Macon County is not one of the greatesest schools. Some teachers lack the power to control their students, or rather the students are uncontrollable. No AP courses are offered after sophomore year, also. The teachers do a great job with their lessons, but overall, it's mostly a fashion show.
