i am a current student of this school, and have been attending this school for a number of years. I came to this school because i was bullied at my old school and my parents thought a private school that held christian values would better my school experience. However, it was anything but. it didn't take long after i arrived at tabernacle for the bullying to begin, and me as a 5th grader was so very confused by this. i thought me coming to a school that worships and makes the lord a main part of their everyday school life should know that you are to love and respect everyone, no matter how different or "weird" they may seem.though all of this was going on I had a few teachers who were always there for me and i felt as if though I could trust them. fast forward a few years, I'm now in high school. over the past two or three years the school, I felt, has stopped caring. you couldn't go a day without hearing someone being made fun of, whether it be because of their culture or a disability they may have. everyday you would hear numerous racial/ offensive terms being used. And as someone who has disabled family members and hearing these children with no respect one-soever insult and make fun of these disability it was honestly heartbreaking, I can imagine a child who has a condition that may set them apart, coming to this school for a new start and to learn about God , only to be ridiculed and relentlessly made fun of by classmates. Another issue this school faces is the preaching method. Yes, I have learned so many great values and morals from these lessons, but there's another side to it. the side that only focuses on hating people who are not Christian. one of the biggest points in the bible is to love everyone. if your goal is to be more Christ like, that doesn't mean hate people who don't have the same beliefs as you, it means to love them, despite the fact you believe something different. we, as sinners, don't have the right to tell people what is right and what is wrong. we may have the bible to base off of but we are still sinners who make mistakes. though I've had many good experiences at this school and yes I've met lifelong friends here, I can't overlook the fact I've had a less than exceptional time here. another thing I'd like to note, if you are sending your child here that has an impairment of any kind, think again. they will be made fun of, and teachers will sit idly by, as student get no repercussions .

I am a parent of a student and a former student myself. I have heard complaints from some who have attended TCS, and without fail they have been those who had another ax to grind or looking for someone to blame for their own slack work ethics. I personally excelled in my college classes. Many former classmates and fellow graduates who have become very successful in fields of business and education. The head of an English department of a very prominent private school is a TCS graduate. The list could go on and on but let it suffice to look at what Wingate University, with one of the highest levels of college education in NC thinks about TCS students. They are consistently at the top of their class. A TCS graduate is a Wingate professor. And above all this, I have seen the quality of education given to my own child. TCS has extra curricular activities for my child in elementary middle and high school with soccer, basketball and baseball as well as many art and music opportunities. Who would not want these academic and athletic qualities coupled with daily prayer and teaching from the Word of God. I gladly put my stamp of approval on TCS.

I thank the Lord for TCS. They have amazing teachers that give my children the individual attention needed to learn the concepts of the subjects they are taught. When my daughter received $15,000 per year in academic scholarships from the University she will be attending based upon her GPA and college entry scores, I was thrilled. These scholarships alone more than offset my investment of sending her to TCS since K5. Not only was she immersed in a wholesome Christian atmosphere (which was crucial to me), having teachers who encouraged her walk with God, but the education she received was excellent.

As a former student who attended for six plus years and graduated from TCS, this is my opinion. The college preparation degree did not prepare well enough for college in the subjects of math, science, history, economics, computers, or Spanish. Students were not taught critical thinking, philosophy, or adequate essay or paper writing skills and formats. There were no advanced placement classes, the local Career Center was never even mentioned, and there was no college counselling or career aptitude tests. The atmosphere of the school was the least challenging out of all the schools I've attended before and after. The education I received has had minimal real world application because I was not taught to learn, only to test well. If my parents and I had known this school would not educate sufficiently, would limit my opportunities, and set me back as far as it did I would never have attended. Homeschool would have been a better option. There were no extracurricular activities other than sports and the sports programs were no better than the education. Also, although the educators may have been capable of teaching, most, if not all, were not qualified or certified as teachers.

TCS is an amazing school! The heart of the staff is to nurture, to educate, and to prepare all of its students for the challenges of life. No child is left behind. The school offers a range of opportunities for children to grow both personally and spiritually. I attended the school as a student, and I have returned to teach there. I can honestly say that there is no other school that I would have rather attended as a student. I am blessed to be teaching here now. My heart is to teach and guide the students in the same way that I was taught and guided.

My son attended Tabernacle for high school. My biggest regret was not moving him to the school earlier. His teachers were all highly qualified for their subjects, but even more important was their character. He received a great education with Christian standards. I would highly recommend this school and would be happy to speak to anyone looking to move their child.

I really enjoyed my time at Tabernacle Christian School. I was challenged to pursue the Lord and be an example for fellow students. I was also encouraged to pursue excellence in my studies daily. This proved to be beneficial my first year of college when I encountered some tough classes but maintained excellent grades. I would recommend this school to those who want to instill discipline and a good work ethic into their children.

My daughter began attending TCS during her Kindergarten year. We have been extremely satisfied with the culture of the school. The teachers and staff are outstanding Christian leaders and show genuine love for each child. We have been very happy with the annual SAT progress scores. Lord willing, our daughter will proudly complete her remaining years at TCS.

I am a parent of a rising 6th grader here at Tabernacle Christian School. My son has been at Tabernacle since he was two years old. Each teacher that he has ever had loved him like he was their own child. The staff has a great love for our children. I have always been well pleased with the wonderful school and staff. I love the fact that each subject taught in biblical truth. Not only do the children get taught education, but they are taught the truth of God. I feel like Christian Education doesn't cost it pays.

I just love TCS !!! I have the last of my 5 children going through school now and Lord willing my Grandchildren will be next. There is nothing like having Jesus put first and seeing that through a Childs heart and their eyes. May God continue to Bless TCS

I attended TCS for many years. So there was pretty much no question to where my own children would go. My kids have been in TCS since kindergarten. Two of them since K4. They have always loved it. The teachers are incredible. There's never been a doubt that the staff love my children and want what's best for them. I love TCS!! Wouldn't change a thing!!

It is always my privilege to tell others I graduated from Tabernacle Christian School. Not only did I receive an excellent education, but it is where I was taught many valuable lessons in why having great character was essential in living a productive life. The most important lesson I learned was to love the Lord Jesus Christ and honor Him in all I do. I am so thankful for the opportunity I had to attend TCS and I hope to send my child there too. My parents made many sacrifices to allow me and my siblings to attend this great school and I know they would say it was worth every cent.

I think TCS is an excellent place for parents to send their children for an education. I like that the faculty provide a wonderful Christian atmosphere for all who are involved, and pour their hearts into the lives of each student. I think with more students and an even better staff a higher quality education could be provided. The education is wonderful and has even gotten better since I graduated. I am in my Junior year of Nursing school with only one year left. The education I received at Tabernacle Christian School not only prepared me for college academics, but it also provided me with the social skills necessary to interact well with my fellow students and patients in the hospital setting. As a student of one of the top ten Nursing schools in America, I appreciate all the training I received at Tabernacle Christian School.

Great teachers, great school! My children have been here since K4 and they love it! They do well academically and always test well on the Standardized testing at the end of the year. Teachers are very informative and caring. I love the fact that they learn a lot out of the Bible along with other subjects.

I could not be more happy with TCS. Each teacher that my child has had given me constant feedback regarding not only academic and disciplinary issues, but also spiritual concerns and comments. When desired or needed, there is so much extra and after school attention given to help my daughter. I have never been charged any extra fees for private tutoring. There seems to be no limits to the teachers willingness to help. I would advise anyone considering a Christian school to just go by the school and see for yourself. Before enrolling our daughter, I gained personal confidence by speaking with the administration and teachers. Even parents of other students were readily eager to help me by sharing their own experiences. TCS is the best!

My children (3rd and 8th graders) are new students this year at TCS, previously from Weddington schools. We have been delighted with TCS. In my opinion, the excellent teachers and environment at TCS provide tremendous support for the development of the "whole child". This school is small but it is definately a gem of a school! I was also amazed at how overall, students are kind, thoughtful, respectful and very well mannered... something that unfortunately is not as common these days. I love the fact that they have a zero bullying policy... and they mean ZERO! Best of all, my children look forward to going to school and have excelled beyond my expectations. Our hearts are thankful! I highly recommend TCS!

This post is in response to the disgruntled parent who insinuated that other positive reviews were as a result of paid endorsements. As a parent, who has no affiliation with the school other than sending my child there, I can tell you that I was not paid for this review. My son has been attending TCS for several years, and my husband and I (we are educators) continue to be pleased with the level of instruction that he is receiving. My son receives weekly progress reports, engages in meaningful assignments, and is excelling in all his subjects. In addition, we do not have to deal with discipline issues or incompetence of staff and teachers unlike his time at a local public school prior to enrolling at TCS. My husband and I do not regret sending our son to TCS because he is challenged more, and he has teachers who really care about his progress. The teachers believe in communicating with the parents. My son s current teacher even sends text messages and weekly e-mail reports to keep us informed of any issues or class projects. I m sorry that this parent had a bad experience, but the review is misleading and not a true depiction of TCS. Thank you for your time.

Seems like the previous reviews were written by someone getting paid to write them! I had two of my children going to this school, and I regret ever taking them here. You think paying $300.00 a month will guarantee your child to have a good education? Think again!! It goes like this- you pay the school, drop-off and pick-up your child to and from school, and do all the teaching at home afterwards! My child didn't know a single letter of the alphabet, after three months of going there; yet they were teaching everyone cursive (in kindergarten)!!! Take my word, and send your child to a different school. Or at least consider paying monthly, not the whole balance right away; Then you can always withdraw your child from school if you don't like it.

My child has received acceptance, love, loving discipline, and positive encouragement all of which have helped him transition from home-school to school. He comes home now and when it is time to do his homework, he does it on his own without struggling. Academically, TCS is ahead. Socially, TCS is superior with its staff and student body always offering friendship, kindness, and student affirmation. TCS puts God first, which creates the school's nurturing environment. I pray the Lord blesses TCS with many more students!

I attended Tabernacle Christian School K-4 through 12th grade and I enjoyed the fact that I could be friends with everybody in my class. It was also nice knowing that the teachers were there for me. If I ever needed extra help a teacher was there and ready to help me succeed, all I had to do was ask. My high school math teacher was a big help in helping me prepare for the SATs. I love TCS!
