The ART and STEM programs at our local school are truly exceptional! I am thoroughly impressed with how specials are taught, and my children absolutely adore being part of the school-wide projects facilitated by resident artists from our community. The integration of art into their education has been a game-changer, and it's heartwarming to witness their enthusiasm as they showcase their contributions to various school-wide projects over the years.Participating in these artistic endeavors has not only fostered a sense of inclusion for my children but has also allowed them to thrive in areas beyond the academic curriculum. The freedom they have to excel in such programs is commendable, and I believe it significantly contributes to their overall growth and development.While I applaud the school for its commitment to artistic and STEM education, I would appreciate increased community and staff leadership involvement in extracurricular activities. I believe that having more accountability in leadership roles for these activities would provide valuable guidance to my children and enhance their overall school experience. Thank you for the wonderful ART and STEM programs, and I look forward to continued improvements in leadership accountability.

MHLT is more focused on their charter schools within the building than their public school simply because charters get funding. Teachers rarely stick around longer than 2 years which means there are constantly new teachers that do not know the students thus creating a disconnect that is essential when forming a student-teacher bond. Many of the faculty members that have been around for a long time are stuck in their ways and do not take suggestions or ideas to improve the school. MHLT has cut their health/sexual education program. These students are not even taught about puberty and end up going in to high school with little to no health education.

My child has excelled beyond our expectations at MHLT. The teaching staff communicates very well with us, is responsive, and challenges both of our young learners. The STEM program, arts, and system support our advanced students.

MHLT could be much better if the staff was really interested in improving themselves. Not showing up at events they are paid to run with trivial excuses only makes students less likely to succeed. Also ignoring advise offered to help improvement of students shows a lack of self confidense which again transfers directly to students.
