Bullying is insane! Staff does nothing and no matter how many times it’s brought up it gets brushed under the rug! And they only care about test scores. Teacher Tamara Philips is THE WORST MATH TEACHER I have ever stumbled on! If your child struggles with math already, avoid her as their teacher because she will not give help when it’s asked for and says”refer back to notes” as if that will teach a child! Simply put she doesn’t teach! She’s a robot spewing information and nothing more! She also posts inappropriate content on her Facebook that demeans students and parents! Very unprofessional. If your child is not good at testing but has straight A’s they still place them based solely on the test scores which in most cases just dumbs down the student and they learn nothing all year only because they don’t do well on tests! Worst school experience ever for my child! We won’t be back next year!

This school is ridiculous! Teachers don’t teach, they read from slides. Not to mention teaching things like rap artist Tupac in English and using rap culture in their curriculum as examples in their reading curriculum. Not sure how rap culture is educational. Students are disrespectful and bullying is horrendous! The safety is questionable since all the students walk in and out of buildings during passing periods while you have hand to hand drug deals happening across the street at the gas station. No lockers for students so they carry about 20 lbs of supplies from room to room. Overall worst school I have ever encountered!

My daughter loathes it. Poor quality education and high teen pregnancy rate. School has a daycare for students who have babies.

2/10. There is potential, but there are hurdles that keep kids from getting the best education possible. Overall, the education is subpar and more time is spent on behavior than education. Spare your family the waste of time this school is and go elsewhere. The school proudly boasts the "A" rating with a Bronze, but schools that rank nationally rank in the top 500 in the nation with a Gold; one will not get a Gold-type education at this school despite the "A" rating. Do not get confused.

The education found at this school is severely lacking. People proudly boast that it is an "A" school and has received a bronze award. That's a nice achievement. But the real "A" schools are the ones who received a gold award...the top 500 in the nation. This is NOT one of those schools. The teachers seem to do the best given what they have to work with. My kids have had very good experiences with their teachers. This school is a great example of small town good ole boy/girl mentality and athletics/politics take precedence over education. There are exceptions to the rule, of course, but don't expect much in the form of great education. One can easily get by with showing up to class and doing the bare minimum and still pass. If you play a sport and need to pass a drug test. No worries, there are people that can do that to ensure that certain people don't have to sit out. As far as getting a better education at a different high school nearby, I can't attest that it's any better. What I do know is that MHS is def not the worst school and has room for improvement (especially in class selection/level of difficulty).

Worst school in Santa Rosa county. Its shameful how they allow bullying and how the faculty, staff, and administration gossip about students with other students. Its like a bunch of kids running it. Snobby kids. And Mr. Rowell (dean) swears he treats all kids equally. WRONG. If he does not like your child, he will make a way for them to be put out. Better cheer or play football or you're walking a thin line at Milton High!

Once Panther always a Panther. Class of 2011 Here are some Milton tips. 1 Don't compare the school to any other school. 2. Don't try to be an athlete if you don't love sports. 3. Rejoice in school spirit don't reject it. (my best memories are all pep-rallies, Homecoming actives, dances, parades and lunch block) 4 Look for great friends not cool friends. 5 If you don't like Milton and you can transfer schools then do it. The only holding the school back more then the lack of money, is negative from students, parents and administration.

Milton high school baseball is a joke. Don't call them tryouts if a team is already picked. Students arrived at these so called tryouts to find kids in last years uniforms that already had a morning "practice" (seniors we know they make the cut). The comments were made that if you weren't on a traveling team or attended summer/winter coaching camps with coach George Blake and telling students he didn't know who they were didn't feel very welcoming to new or homeschooled students. The numbers might be impressive-some 100 kds trying out for realistically 4-30 spots, but talent is missed. Bottom line of your new, didn't spend tons of bucks, and didn't spend a ton of time kissing up save yourself the trouble, anxiety, and pressure.

TERRIBLE!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! First I find out that my child is allowed to turn in work WHENEVER she wants to and they will accept it for the complete grade (not late)! That leads me to believe that any other student doing their work on time means nothing! Secondly, some teachers just don't feel like posting grades at the end of the 9 weeks so I guess that means its a wash for the class and no one at the school seems to be concerned! Thirdly, and most importantly, this school does not feel that they need to mail the end of the year report card nor do they put final grades up on the website--no you have to drive to the school and pick it up! Not mail it like they do throughout the year! My other daughter will NEVER step foot in that sham of a school!! If I could give this school a negative rating I would!!
