    Milroy Elementary is an outstanding school in the Rush County School district. Under the leadership of Lisa Wilson, this school and the children in it, are thriving. The atmosphere has changed dramatically, with learning being fun, lots of new clubs/activities, engagement of the children in the design of the school and playground, and positive safe culture. The teachers are excellent. We left for a year due to safety issues previously, but returned when we heard such praise for the school and have been nothing but impressed since.

    We now have 2 children in Milroy. The teachers take time and patience with both of them. I love walking threw the school and hearing teachers say the name of my children. When they see any kind of behavior change they notify us to see if anything at home has changed. This school is the reason we have felt welcomed into Rush county.
