The teachers are engaging, The peers are friendly and considerate. I love that teachers are all very caring and their teaching is fun! Most of the teachers are interpersonal with our kids and I love that they listens to them. Overall environment in Joyce Kilmer is friendly and caring.

Both of my children graduated from JK. One is a corporate attorney and the other is doing graduate work under a full fellowship. I think Milltown schools are doing a very good job educating our children.

Joyce Kilmer is just average. There is no push for academic excellence. Teachers dress like average joes on the street, no professional dress - even jeans and flip-flop/sandals are allowed. That is distracting and disconcerting to students - seeing your teachers toes? This contributes to the students lack of respect for themselves, fellow students, and teachers. Let's raise the bar in the dress code! The school year essentially ends with the NJ Ask testing in early May. No homework, open book tests, Disney movies. Eighth grade is the worst. Too much time spent on Banquet, getting dates for the banquet, Camp Mason trip.
