I had an awful experience with Milan C-2, which is unfortunate given the excellent student body and diverse culture of the district. Most of the teachers are very caring and supportive, and work hard to help students succeed, especially the students with special needs. The issues come from the top down. Administration is horribly out of touch with the students, and cultivates a toxic, clique based mentality. HR is the most unprofessional and rude of any school district I have ever worked for, which harkens back to the clique mentality. The students simply deserve better, and so do the teachers. Striving for Excellence means evaluating the top of the hierarchy as well.
