already twice this year my child has been bullied or harassed by children being bussed in from robbins and the school has done relatively nothing. bad element growing at this school. if you have the choice send your children elsewhere.

I have four kids at kolmar, and moved from oak forests school district and Love kolmar. My 7th and 8th grader and straight A students and my 3Rd and 5the grader are not far behind them. The staff is 100% focused and kids and contact t is wonderful! They offer many sports programs, and after school clubs, choir ect. U couldn't ask for a better education for my children.

Everyone is mean, and every single person there is disrespectful. I feel like I'm the only nice 7th grader at kolmar. This is the worst middle school ever. Everyone gets away with cussing and bullying. The teachers don't help you at all. That is why my daughter has to go to tutoring. Even at tutoring she doesn't get help. Oak forest schools are way better.

4 of my children have attended this school so I've met a variety of teachers. Some of the teachers play inappropriate music in class, and also play games on their phones while ignoring the children that need extra help. The librarian, Melissa Hardy, bullies children and she is still the librarian. Just one example of her bullying, last year my daughter was looking at a book. She put it back in the wrong spot so the librarian told her that if she couldn't find the spot she put the book in she would tell the principle my daughter was a thief! My daughter came home afraid and in tears. There are a few great teachers at Kolmar but you better do your research before you register your child. I did notice that the teachers they choose to teach the advanced children are Excellent. Besides that ... I started homeschooling my 4th and 6th grader this year, and they're doing better than they ever did at Kolmar.

My advice would be for there to be different start times for junior high or the smaller ones. It is hectic for pick up not so much for drop off. We all know how Jr. High is they get out cussing, play fighting, and loud. The little ones are around and listening and not enough supervision.

Im a student who is currently in 7th grade. I started my fist year in kolmar in 5th grade. I guess its a regular. I have had a few problems. (Not student wise but problems with the staff from the office) i enjoy going there. But i feel like they should communicate with the students more. If they had more money they would be able to start more programs. A lot of students dont like this school but im guessing its because the lack of communication. The teachers are fine. There might be some that i dont like but i just go and deal with it.

I have dealt with Kolmar for 10+ years and have had very few issues. I have had one grad from this school and two more still in it. Great school. Great teachers.

I have three children which all have attended this school. I can't say enough positive things about Kolmar. My daughter who needed speech class when she started her Kindergarden year at Kolmar. The resources that they had available to her and the amount of time that all the teachers put in to make sure that my daughter received all the necessary help she needed. Alot of other schools don't have the resources that Kolmar has. Alot of times, students have to be sent to other schools to get the assistance they need, but at Kolmar, the assistance comes to Kolmar. I HIGHLY recommend Kolmar school!!

My child hates this school. I hate this school. The teachers have no experience. Communitation is very poor. My child was doing great before we came to this school. I have alot to compare to from other schools, and teachers. These teachers don't know what to do when your child is having a problem. And the school has no resources to help. They act like they dont have time to care.
