My daughters have attended Watchung School for the past 6 years. The teachers are all wonderful! My oldest has learning difficulties which were identified early on by her teachers. They have worked with us to provide her with the support she needed. She is now in middle-school, because of the teachers, child study team and administration at Watchung she still loves school and has made the honor roll every marking period. My second grader is loving Watchung as much as her sister. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved . There is the typical PTO and class parents but Watchung goes beyond that offering opportunities for parents to come in read or volunteer and to special events. They hold a MARE festival in the spring when they work with the Rutgers marine biology department to offer the children a curriculum rich in science. The involvement of the principal, Mrs. Diskin is key. She is present at every function from Trunk or Treating to the PTO to the Talent show. She knows each child by name and the children know her. She runs a tight ship with the love and caring of a mother figure. We consider ourselves very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful school!

Awesome school with dedicated and well-intentioned faculty and staff. Each of my children who attended had different strengths and weaknesses and each were treated individually, challenged, and provided the resources and care to succeed.

My daughter is just finishing up 3rd grade at Watchung. She has struggled in reading and her teachers in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade have been wonderful. They have given her support and encouragement as well as gone above and beyond staying after school more than once a week to work with her and other children who needed extra help. We have also worked with the child study team who truly care what is best for the kids and are also absolutely wonderful to work with. The principal also knows all the kids personally as well as thier families. I can't wait till my little one starts Kindertarten at Watchung.
