Our Experience at PPMH: from the teachers to the students to the challenging curriculum. Pinecrest Prep Middle High integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. The administration is open minded and thinks outside the box to make PPMH a successful educational experience for the students. Though it is a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving children more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers.Teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child – their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner.

My overall experience at this school has been excellent. I was very nervous coming in as we have changed schools 3 times in the past 3 years and we were very unhappy at previous school. This school has exceeded my expectations and I am looking forward to my two other children spending the rest of their elementary school days here. They seem to have found the right balance of academics and environment. I only wish I had found them sooner!

We are extremely grateful to have our children enrolled in Pinecrest Prep Academy. They employ a highly effective and challenging learning environment, all the while maintaining a relaxed and organized system for its students. Our experience with this school has been excellent.

Excellent, my kid has been learning and making friends in a safe and respectful environment. Faculty staff are very professional and really care about teaching and are playing an important role in the education and behavior of our kids. This is a great school with a good environment

I have been apart of the Pinecrest family for 10 years having three children go through this school. I have had nothing but great experiences in this school. The teachers and administration are wonderful. They truly have the child’s best interest in mind when it comes to the education they provide.

My children have had a great schooling experience. As a parent, I am very content with the constant communication not only from the teachers but from the school as well. The fun and engaging school wide activities make going to school exciting for my kids. I love the family feel and how all staff know my children. My son enjoys the robotics club and can't wait to be on the competition team.

PPA has change in so many aspects and the communication with the parents have not always been the best. I understand some teacher don't like dealing with parents and do not like replying to email for one reason or the other. I also understand you have some parents that go over board but there needs to be a balance. I just feel if that child for what ever reason is getting on the wrong side of that teacher than the right thing to do ask for that child to be transfer to a different teacher that knows how to handle that particular situation the right way ( maybe the chemistry is not there and if is not there the year will not be as great but complains after complains) or if you see that child is not doing well academically find a way to help that child the same way others are getting help. Another things sometimes you see the same non- working parents during school hours when there is no events going on just gossiping about things that shouldn't it even be a concern for them and is sad how the kids of those those parents always get the special treatment and help is always there compare to another kid who might really need it. Don't get me wrong is good to be involved but not 24/7 spreading things around about others or even about other kids( the good thing about public school that the administration does allowed it unless you are going there to help the teacher for an event). Further more, the teachers at ppa not all have the dedication to teach but they just enjoy screaming at the kids. If you do not have the patience any more than why work for an elementary school, not everyone will be perfect and yes you will have kids that you might need to redirect but if done in the right way with out being bullies yourself than it will make a difference in the child. I do not recommend ppa but try to find a different school that can work with your child and hopefully you child will get the right tools to help him or her achieve in that grade. Congrats to the school because they manage to bring up their grade to an A. I just think it had to do with the classes being smaller and a lot of kids leaving the school. PPA is school I regret putting my child and I was very happy I was able to transfer my child to a different school that truly care about my child growth and not just a test score.

Both of my children attended PPA. It is a great school. The curriculum is amazing as well as the staff. Parent communication is happening all the time via email or phone. Teachers are extremely caring. Students leave this school well prepared. I cannot ask for anything else. Personally, I had a great experience in this school.

They try to make school the best it could be , i have been going there for 5 years and there have never been bullying and they try to prepare you the best they can . For ash wednesday almost everyone was wearing it , the pe teachers , the principle , and evan some students ! The teachers are very nice and try to let you have fun during there class .There is not to much homework and it leaves you time to enjoy the weekend .They also have after-school care and before school care .In after school care you can do your homework and than when you are done you can play outside or watch a movie inside , a great school and i think everyone should go there.

While Ms. Diaz is doing a great job, the school can not be turned around overnight. She still has a lot of hard work and challenges ahead of her.

Think twice before sending your children here. This school is all about the MONEY. They can care less about the students nor are the teachers skilled to be teaching. Very unprofessional administration that do not care about what is going on with our children and their education. Teachers do not have nor want communication with parents other than making sure the money asked is brought in. If its about money you definitely have their attention. My 3 children attended PPA for two years and sad to say its not at all what we expected. Do yourself and most importantly your children a favor....DO NOT GO TO PPA. There are numerous schools in the area with much better teachers and administration. This school needs a definite overhaul in order to be and produce what our children seek...AN EDUCATION. There is no passion to teach and the teachers simply don't care.

This school is one of the best in the area, even after most of the longtime teachers left to Pinecrest Cove, it is one of the best schools still. And its becoming better everyday! Some people say that it has become worse after they opened Pinecrest Cove, but it's going to get better!

This school has changed for the worse in the last couple of years. Some teachers have lost their passion and it shows. Just a major disappointment all around. Teachers are not reaching the kids and the FCAT scores prove that. I will be moving my kids to EKB- one of the top schools in the Kendall area.
