This school has gone downhill in the last year or so. Not only does the superintendent play favorites, but the new high school principal and vice principal have shown that they are incompetent and also only care about themselves too. This used to be a great school, but I cannot say this anymore. Not with all that is going on. It is time for the school board to step in and do what is right here.

Miami is a nice small town friendly community with a proud history. I guess what I don't understand is why some would not fully support the current Principal who is resigning at the end of the year. I guess he is leaving. And he is a class act about it too. He only has positive things to say about the community and the school. He helped turn around Florence and Globe and he really cares about kids. It has been years since Miami had a dynamic principal who came from any kind of a background of results and proven success. He never got the support and resources he needed. I am concerned the school will spiral downward now that it is fully in the grips of some entrenched teachers with a union thug mentality. Too bad the superintendent sided with them and not our principal.

I have to say that hiring Mr. Bueche as the new principal was a great idea. He is trying, against institutionalized apathy and laziness, to make the place into a good school. It is too bad that the teachers union is fighting him tooth and nail. He s doing some good things for kids.

This school desrves more credit than it gets. There are some teachers that really have the students' best interest at heart, but others do not really pay much attention. Some of the programs that are offered now are challenging. Thw new World in Conflict class is a course that focuses on the wars and the events that changed different countries. This course has taught me so much already and the teachers that are involved are well educated in the areas of this course.
