The Worst school in the state of MO
Submitted by student on July 26, 2014
I attended Mexico High School for two years. The reason I give it only two stars is because there were bullying issues that were not taken care of. The staff is hard to keep and I had brand new, fresh out of college teachers both years which caused me to struggle because of the lack of classroom discipline. It is hard to find your group at such a small school.

Mexico HS is located on a well-planned campus. The campus incorporates the area-wide Hart Career Center & playing fields & gyms for basketball, wrestling, football, track, baseball & softball. The campus is unmatched in the local area & for schools near the same size. Classroom spaces have wireless Internet & tech for students & staff. MHS has 5 dedicated computer labs, & 4 mobile laptop labs. All students are provided a Google email account for assignment storage and communication. Students can earn 30 dual credit college hrs at MHS through a collaborative agreement with Moberly Area Community College; these credits transfer to statewide institutions. Students can earn 2 years of tuition through the A+ program. MHS involves students in an enhanced ACT preparation program with practice tests, feedback, free online prep, & study manuals. The career center provides access to a certified welding program, project lead the way pre-engineering classes, a cosmetology certification, CNA, Diesel mechanics, vocational agriculture/FFA, computer network & programming. MHS students find many options to help them be college & career ready - many more than other schools of similar size.
