Okay so I'm a current student at this school, and I have read most of the reviews on here. But I would have to agree with SOME of them only because of the principal and her decision making. She makes the absolute WORST decisions ever! Anyways the teachers are also somewhat okay just not the best at staying on task while teaching.

Most of these reviews are 1 star but they dont see the experience in a 7th Graders eye. This is my first year at taylor and so far so good! Only complaint is they need more snack variety for the snack machine because I paid 1.25 for a stale cookie and their sign says "Taylor is not responsible for the loss of money." So you kind of know its a scam. But Good school, Good Teachers, and Good Learning experience!

Horrible. I would advise everyone to choose a different school.

My experience at this school is horrible because all they care about is what the students are wearing and they don't care about the students education

Taylor was just named an A+ school of excellence. I am a parent who assisted the committee. This is a difficult application and few win. Great school. Great programs and great vision. I highly recommend it. We left Gilbert schools to drive to Taylor and have never regretted it.

Send you student any where else this school is not concerned with the well being of it's students. My son was "asked" to switch schools based on bad grades and he is not the only student that has been asked to do so. The principal cares more about the schools reputation then about the students.

Taylor is what I had expected when I first had my field trip there in 6th grade. I finally became a "sevie" as the 8th grader in Taylor call it, and I was happy in my school. Though, the principal is very enthusiastic, she suspects perfection from the students; very irking and countless rules especially for dresscode. No green shoelaces? What? Other than that, Taylor is an average middle school with over 1,000 students (currently). But, this is coming from an Honors students, top of the chain line at Taylor, I have no interactions with the regular students here at Taylor, my classmates are mature, but I have no periods encountering the regular students. Therefor, I do not know about that side of Taylor. Overall, Taylor is a very comfortable and neat school, teachers respect me as an intelligent student; average teachers, nothing more. But, like any school, there's a group you fit in, it's not always everyone you get along with, don't suspect perfection from us, but there's no proof of me describing regular students. Honor students, you'll love.

The new principal is here HORRIBLE!! I had an issue you with her and staff sending my daughter to ISS (IN SCHOOL SUSPENTION) my child is a straight A student, and works really hard to keep a clean record. when I couldn't talk to the principal at first, I spoke with the Vice Principal and he couldn't help me, so he then gave a message to the Principal to call me back. When the principal called back, she actually told me that if i didn't agree with her sending my daughter to ISS, NOT to send her to school. Now tell me... What kind of principal is this? Also one of the teachers tryed to explain to her how wrong it was, she was down right rude to him and didn't care at all what he had to say. Also the security here abuses HER position and treats all the kids here with much disrespect (RACIAL), she speaks to these kids in SLANG, as if she's from the streets herself. I thank GOD that this is my childs last year here. So to all you parents who's children attend this school. Record any conversations you have with any staff members, more so with both the Principal and Vice principal. And believe your child when he or she comes home to you expressing their concerns.

The school is ok but the security at the school is awful. It is a race issue. Which it should not be!

My son has been at this school since the beginning of 7th grade and we are now 3/4 thru the year. I have been very involved with my son's academics and sports, checking the parent portal daily. 2 of the 7 teachers he has are incompetent. The coach for baseball was incompetent. I have not AT ALL been impressed with this school. Even attendance can't get their website program straight and has logged my son as tardy/absent more than twice and I have had to call to fix it. The 2 teachers are more concerned with their personal issues than getting a grade for a student correct. I'm considering taking my son out of the school, but I have no way to get him to another school as I am unable to drop him off or pick him up and have to rely on the bus to get him. I'm not sure the positives outweigh the negatives. Consider your options before enrolling your child in this Junior High.
