My grandson started this past year in preschool and really looking forward to my granddaughter starting this year. I like the school cause they are effective and quick to catch any problem with the child and address te problem quickly.

My school is Louise Durham Elementary in Mena, AR. I have had three grandchildren enrolled here over the last ten years. All are learning well and have had good teachers. Teachers are knowledgeable, experienced, and caring. While this is the only public school at this level, there is also a local private school. So far, we have had no problems with our grandchildren enrolled here. Two have gone on to one of the highest-ranking schools nationwide, and are doing well there. This little school in Mena was the beginning of both their educations. Kudos to the teachers, administration, and staff!

Parental involvement seems to be discouraged. No information on the lesson plans is sent home and access to the classroom and teacher is only by special request. My child has been attending this school for 4 weeks and I've only met his teacher once for less then 5 minutes and I had to request it from the office. Also think its a bit odd that breakfast is a required part of the school day.
