My child attended last year and had a new diagnosis of special needs before school started. They were brushed off because he seemed “normal” just had “behavioral problems”. He never received an IEP (even after meeting for IEP) or any other education plan. As this was new to us, we didn’t know the options we had and I think my child was severely let down in many ways.

My son went 6 years at West Elementary and is in the spectrum and they implemented man IEP every year and he received so much support through peer support, reading and math 1 on 1 everyday. My son also was able toreceive extra time during tests, tests being read aloud, and motor skills classes 1 on 1.

My children went to this school in 2018, 2019, and 2020. This has to be one of the worst schools I have ever seen. They had me seriously worried my children were under developed, or needing special attention. I moved to a new city with better schools, and my children are not just thriving but excelling. I am not sure what their approach is inside of the school, but they need to apply themselves to their students more.
