As someone who goes to this school, the teachers are ok but the staff do absolutely nothing about bullying. If they do, they’re going to be biased. They don’t act until it’s too late. (We’re talking school fights almost every other week at this point) and not to mention, I once ate the meatloaf and it looked raw. If you want your kids to be subjected to homophobia, transphobia, racism and more, choose this school. But if you actually care for their well-being, please find somewhere else.

I attend the tobacco stained halls of JCHS. I wouldn't call it a school though, more of a daycare center for teenagers. There are maybe six good teachers in the entire building, the science department is particularly decrepit. The staff allows the student body to run wild (their actions are considered cute rather than obnoxious and mean spirited). All this being said, the few teachers that care, really do. That select group alone keeps this from getting a one star review.

Jackson County H.S. has a broad spectrum of students when motivation is considered. The administration has committed to hiring certified teachers in critical areas (like math), where a new hire is a man with a master's degree from U.K. This demonstrates a goal to provide quality instruction for those students with a desire to gain academic excellence.

Teachers here work hard and want to make a difference so that their students have opportunities!
