As a former parent, I can mention that Sam Houston Elementary is an excellent elementary school that provides the best and safe environment for students. Located very close to the border, Sam Houston Elementary offers an Early Exit Bilingual program that supports our non-english speaking students to make them have a sense of belonging. This program was an excellent tool for my children to be successful while attending their elementary school years.

This campus is amazing! My children are coming from a different campus, and it has been one of the best decisions we have made for them. At Sam Houston they found all the support needed for them to succeed inside and outside the classroom. Simply the best!

Sam Houston is an excellent school for children to capture real life experiences. It is a unique school that has a city within the city. Houstonville gives children the opportunity to have jobs and experience different career choices. The teachers are always willing to help and are very experienced in their field. The school allows for many parent/family events. Sam Houston is a welcoming school and you can see it in the smiles of the students everyday.

Staff is amazing. As soon as you walk in through the front doors you are welcomed with a warm, friendly smile. Students are engaged and actively learning at all times. The school has a unique program call Minitropolis, which is a city within the school that is operated by students every Friday. The students learn many life-skills that are needed to become successful lifelong learners.

My experience here is spectacular, all the teachers really love what they do and they all want what is best for their students. The school is very involved with the community and family. They host many events for families to come and support their children and help expand their goals.

I have been working at Houston Elementary for 22 years and the work atmosphere is wonderful from our Administrators to all the Staff you feel like a family everyone helps everyone when in need. All staff is willing to help in any way they can as well as our Administrators.

The teachers at Sam Houston Elementary School are committed to their students' growth and development. I have had the opportunity to witness firsthand how the students' confidence has grown as a result of the school's focus on academics and engagement with the Minitropolis program. Additionally, the school goes above and beyond to support families and encourage community involvement. In my experience, I have not seen another community that demonstrates such a strong dedication to preparing students for future careers and academic success.

This is a great school. Both of my children went there. They have great teachers. The best part is the Mini city in which students have opportunity to apply and work at different jobs. Thank you so much!
