Great teachers who care about the students, and will do what it takes to help students learn. Some of the highest scoring students in the state have attended class here

If your child has a learning disability they do not have patience to work with them and will just pass them along to the next teacher that is the same way. Also, their so called cheerleading coaches seem to have forgotten their Christian values.Lighthouse Christian Academy of Mayo, FL you should treat all of God's children with the same love and respect no matter their status.Apparently they also censor their reviews, and will give you flack until you take it down. I however will NOT be bullied. Sadly there is not telling how many times this has happened in the past.

I thought that it would be great to have my children in a small classroom size school, so they could get the education that they deserved. However, the first day I walked into the office I was met with rudeness. Their excuse when I brought it up was the person was in pain and that is why they were rude. I brushed it off thinking ok as long as the teaching staff was good I can handle someone being rude to me. However, my children were ridiculed by the staff. There was a lice outbreak that they blamed my children for and when finally realizing it was not them, they started to blame another family (who ended up withdrawing their children as well). Almost all of the teachers are not licensed or are still in school. They tried to hold both of my children back in grades that would be detrimental to their learning. The one child that has an IEP, was never given the services promised by the school and I never received an updated IEP, which I asked for numerous times. My other son is dyslexic and instead of working with him they attempted to put him back a grade without my permission or me even having a meeting with them. They sent a letter home and gave me one day to respond. Needless to say I took my children out of this horrible, unorganized, very clicky environment. Now the children are thriving and are much better off. Do not go to this school if you want a proper education. There are a few teachers there that are incredible and an asset to the school, but they are so few that it can’t make up for the rest.

Wonderful school, all my childreb started at age 3, my oldest is now in 7th grade. I like the fact that all the teachers have degrees and your child gets a more one on one learning christian environment. We moved and they were put in a public school for one year and their teachers wanted to know what school they came from because they excelled and were top of their class. All of the graduates have went on to get degrees and further their education and have excelled.

Don't be fooled by the term "certified teachers". Not only are majority of the teachers NOT certified but many do not have experience in an education setting. Many parents have removed their children to find that they are behind most of the public school students. It's quite a bit of money to have your child robbed of a quality education.
