AP is a school where teachers are empowered to create engaging lessons that lead students to think through things on their own rather than being told what to think. Administration is really responsive to questions and issues. As a parent, I know that teachers and staff know my child and I am able to reach out to any of them and they will respond thoughtfully. Love that the school is prek-12 so there is continuity - no need to switch schools as children age up. It is a challenging school where kids aren't pushed to succeed academically - they actively seek to do it themselves and there is such a wide variety of activities, teams, clubs, and classes to support any interest. Kids interested in STEAM will be excited by the theater, ceramics, 2D art, Robotics, Coding, and engineering classes offered and a new one of a kind STEM building to support all those interests and more. We've been at Prep for 4 years and are continually impressed by the efforts of students, teachers and admin to make this such a great school, not just academically, but socially. A comprehensive anti-bullying program is used starting in the lower school and creates a culture of inclusivity and tolerance for diversity.

We’re on year 3 & loving it more and more each year. Our kids love Augusta Prep and want to be there all the time. The academics in the middle school is challenging, but perfect for preparation into high school & college. We’re excited we get to be a part of this amazing school.

I have never been so disappointed in a school. They never had a problem cashing our check.

This is an excellent school. I have had 4 children attend this school. One is now in college and has found themselves prepared, and thriving academically and socially. Prep is a school that truly prepares their students for college. From the teachers, experiences, academic expectations to leadership, this school excels! The students are enriched by their experiences, challenged academically but given the tools to excel, and respected by all faculty. Prep is an excellent school. All of our children are receiving a level of eduction that is beyond our imagination. Parent Days allow the parents to come in and see first hand what our students are learning. It is beyond belief the level of education they are receiving. We are thankful to be able to send our children to this school.

Our family continues to have an excellent experience at Prep. With 3 children enrolled, we are excited to see each of them grow and make progress in this school where safety is clearly the top priority, learning is the goal, and joy can be found in everything they do.

Augusta Prep is a wonderful place for our family. It really does not compare to other schools because it is a step above other schools in this area. It definitely is a prestigious institution. My son came here in middle school, and I have wished every day since that he had come through the lower school as well. He is currently a sophomore, and I am thrilled that the teachers, as well as coaches, genuinely care about the students and their well-being. It has been such a wonderful experience for him academically and socially. There is NO other place that I would rather him be at than Augusta Prep! I am so appreciative of the faculty there as well. They are concerned about the students and are willing to help them in any way possible. The academic rigor is challenging, and it is so nice to see the various classes offered no matter what your child is interested in. If you have not checked out Augusta Prep yet, I encourage you to make it a priority. You'll be so glad you did!

As a graduate and current parent of two APDS students, I am consistently reminded of all the wonderful reasons our family continues to choose Prep. If you are considering Prep for your family, please reach out to the admissions office and connect with current families. My children have blossomed as a result of the positive environment in the lower school. As a busy mom, I appreciate the easily accessible conservatory, science and sports extracurricular activities offered after daily instruction.

I love the experience as a parent, and my child loves being at this school. I know for a fact that my child will be well prepared to handle the academic rigors of university level work while also being encouraged to think outside the box and problem solve complex problems.

AP tries to cater to behaviorally challenged children at the cost of the other children. They find fault with the children who are victims as a means of distraction. My son has been at this school for 9 years and the administration pointed out his error of reporting that he was getting bullied instead of nurturing him as the victim. There are some extraordinary teachers, but lack of supervision beyond fourth grade. The homework load is unreasonable.

My child has been attending this school since the 2nd grade and is now in the 8th. My family is not rich and have to save throughout the year to have the tuition saved up. We have always felt like we belonged there. My child is very happy, and the academics is pretty rigorous. I, as a parent truly appreciate that they teach the children independence and responsibility, traits that I as a parent also try to instill in my children. He will graduate from this school no matter the cost. We will find a way to make it happen.

I am a former student of this school and I have never been so unhappy as I was when I was there. The staff was nice but I felt like a lot of them were under qualified. If I asked a teacher a question about something I am learning I don't believe that 'I don't know' is a sufficient answer. I was so unhappy there that I asked my parents to remove me from the school. This is a school that favors rich people and does not cater to the urban community. Ridiculous!

We are just finishing up our first year at Augusta Prep. My daughter is in the preschool program and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are fantastic. As a former director of a full day preschool, I am a tough customer when it comes to preschool education. They have an engaging curriculum and the children really enjoy learning. From the moment we took our tour, I was hooked. They were able to answer all my questions to my liking and have followed through with their responses. Parents are very involved and the entire environment is very friendly. My daughter will continue to attend this school as long as we live in this area. It is definitely a school that needs to be explored if you are looking for a great quality preschool and beyond.
