My daughter has loved this school. She is in advanced classes and has loved the one on one attention she receives from all teachers. The orchestra program is great and the Art department!

So far so good! We recently transitioned from a nearby smaller public school due to poor communication with parents, a philosophy of parental non-invovement and poor handling of peer conflicts. THE CHANGE is REMARKABLY POSITIVE. The principal is active, involved and can be seen in classrooms and hallways. He seems to know his many many students and engages with them in a positive, supportive, and attuned way. The school counseling staff is aware of the complexities of peer dynamics and attempts to support students in making positive choices. We have had regular phone communication with staff, initiated by them, exceeding our expectations for communication. While my student is receiving less homework, she feels she is learning more in class, that there is more active/hands-on learning. I observe that the homework that does come home appears to be more challenging, and to contain better explanations about the expectations. Peer issues are challenging in any middle school, but i feel the school provides a positive social environment. My observation as well is that with a larger school population, there are more peers to serve as "buffers" when there is peer drama.
