This is our families 3rd year at MHS. It has been an amazing experience!

The Principal is unreasonable and puts his image and perception above what is best for students. Case in point, his sons friend got in a fight last year before graduation, and he called the college of the young man who was in the fight and not only got his entire athletic scholarship revoked, but also got his admission from the school taken away. One fight between two teenage boys cost a family $200,000 in tuition, room & board costs, not to mention the lawyer fees they incurred to simply make sure their son could attend the college he was awarded a full scholarship to. He sets a terrible example for his children, and doesn't follow due process or get both sides of the story when dealing with disciplinary situations. If your son or daughter goes here and is accused of something egregious, he will levy a massive penalty against them without due process. He should be removed from his role as Principal immediately.

Marshfield has a brand new state of the art school that just opened in 2015. It has excellent teachers and excellent programs. All of these previous reviews were for the old high school and are no longer valid.

I graduated MHS last year and I must say, I was BEYOND prepared for my freshman year in college. The teachers are so encouraging, and they're always willing to go the extra step to help their students out. It's about time the building is redone, or better yet, replaced completely. However, I got an awesome education here and I'm so grateful for the amazing teachers who pushed me and saw my potential when I couldn't even motivate myself. Also, the guidance department deserves a huge shout out. My counselor always made me feel like I was the only student he was taking care of. I might not have made it to college if it weren't for the support I got from him and all of my teachers during my years here. I feel I was more prepared than most of the people I go to college with, especially in the writing department. Awesome education, awesome staff.
