My children both attend Marshall Junior High School and love it. We have found the diversity of classes offered to be amazing for the junior high level and unrivaled by any local junior highs. Beyond having three academic levels to choose from for core classes, there are a plethora of electives including choir, orchestra, band, dance, art, speech, theatre (classes in both performance and history of), athletics, and business classes. The new campus is beautiful and well laid out inside. The teachers are dedicated and have been extremely responsive. They have even attended extracurricular events just to cheer on my children.

If you want your child in an unsafe troublesome environment this is the one for your child! My daughter is new to Marshall JH, in the seventh grade, and her third week of school she was beaten by an eighth grader while in gym class for no reason! She has always been a good student in all aspects of the word so it is very hard for both of us to begin to try to comprehend why this happened to her! The coach and the 7th grade assistant principal were very sympathetic and are trying to help us threw this as well as the campus officer but the main principal(I think that's who she is) never even came out of her office to assess anything just sd write a report and closed her door! This girl that assaulted my daughter is a known troublemaker and I feel like she shouldn't even be at the campus with the regular kids. This has really hurt me and most of all my daughter she feels very unsafe at this school and now I hve to take other measures to ensure my child's safety while she's trying to learn! I know the teachers can only do so much but this type of behavior starts at home! Kids can't raise themselves!!!!-A very aggravated mother!!

It is very clear Marshall ISD has not taught their students how to read, wrtie, or spell. Just read the reviews by students.
