Since I been at Treca digital academy the staff and the teachers has been so hopeful and really nice and I got to work my own hours just as long as you put 5 hours and 7 minutes in but I also put in as much time in so I could jump head in my classes so now I am graduating in 11th grade and I love this school so if you are looking for a school for your kids then this is the school for you to come to.

We had a lot of trouble getting ahold of teachers for assistance, we had to withdraw our children after a short time because they were so frustrated with the program. It’s hard to learn when you can’t ask questions.Spelling errors in the lessons too- yikes.

I was a high school senior from this school. This school is so bad. It shouldn't even be able to be open. For Manny reasons. Like you don't get teachers help, they don't help with you finding colleges. They put you down especially if you pick a career and if you have a plan after high school that they don't think you would be good at. Basically the teacher are to get paid by grading papers that they don't grade because of the computer. They don't have a honors program. They don't even do anything for the high school senior like a field trip. They don't even have any school trips anyways. They say you can take your time and then get mad at you when you are going your own pace. It just a very horrible and annoying school. Honestly ecot was so much better. Ecot did what most public schools do. You had to be in school at a specific time and could miss school unless you really had to. Teachers helps and they had a lot of different field trips and programs. They had honors program. They had special educational programs. They helped you look for colleges. They were happy with what you wanted to become in life. They we awesome. They had a lot of senior stuff like dances. They always had an amazing graduation. You were always had one on one teacher time even with more then 10 students. You could even meet new people from the hole state and they had a science fair. This school has nothing like that. You balary even met someone unless you had to be at speech.

I'm delighted to share our positive experience with TRECA that my two high school-aged children attended. The school provided an excellent platform for remote learning, with dedicated teachers who ensured a high-quality education. The flexibility of the program allowed my kids to thrive academically while pursuing their passions. We're grateful for the support and opportunities this online school offered.

In short My children have had meltdowns over this school. They are constantly having trouble with login issues. Waiting 2 weeks to have a grade done to move on. Can't move forward due to system errors . And more. They do not! Follow Iep my daughter is in some tough classes and she's special needs for all her classes. I have talked to them about it and yet they do nothing. My son has learning difficulties but they will not listen to the parents at all..They lie and will say my kids are 2 blocks behind while I'm looking at the screen with proof of where they are currently at and call us liars. And more much much more.Im sorry but this school purposely fails kids and destroys their mental health. They want to threaten the parents with legal action stress the kids out don't follow guidelines nor fix their systems That is child abuse. This company needs lawsuits against them.

TRECA's teachers are genuinely excited to help students, which is at the core of everything they do. Being an online school, some students and families have trouble adjusting to the responsibility of managing school work time at home on their own, but teachers, advisors, counselors, SAFE staff, Special Needs staff, and the Help Desk are always available to help. Please do ask for help if you run into an issue or are struggling! TRECA is introducing more mental health support systems that students have asked for, and they're always looking to improve the ways they can support students, which is great to see from a school! I haven't come across a school like TRECA before, where helping students is such a priority and influences everything they do. One of the best parts is they are always improving and have grown so much in the 20 years they've been providing online education! I would definitely recommend this school if in-person schooling isn't supporting your student as much as they need.

My daughter and son was in this school for 3 years and the first year it was good. But now, they put my daughter in summer school because of her English teacher. Her English teacher kept rejecting her block 2 essay and said that every thing she did was wrong so she kept redoing it until her English teacher said that she will either be held back or she will have to summer school. This was this year. Now my daughter is doing 9th grade summer school and will have to redo 9th grade. She will not be returning to treca. In 8th grade she was having some trouble with her English teacher and she tried to get her to redo block 5 when she emailed my daughter 2 months prior and said she finished block 5. Now my son has this teach and it took her 2-3 months to email him back about a paper he had to write about why technology is bad for kids. I am done with this school I can't believe they haven't got in trouble. They are breaking the law to never leave a student behind. I do NOT Recommend this school.

Great school! We have 3 children enrolled; they're doing great and the classes are doing more than expected to prepare the children for adulthood. The school contacts us through text and email regularly and they are accommodating and kind to our kids. When our son contacted his homeroom teacher to inform her of his name and pronoun change, the school changed his school login to his preferred name within a day or two. There isn't a deadline for most classes and assignments; the students can go at their own pace and there are tutoring programs in place for kids having a hard time. For two or three months before state testing, they also provide sources for extra studying and make sure students aren't having too much difficulty. Our other son, at one point, wasn't reading or responding to school emails and the school contacted us to make sure he was okay. Overall: the school is amazing, one of the best our kids have attended and we're happy with everything.

My daughter started this school back in august, when we first started we thought it would be a great school. Until late December my daughter started having trouble with her computer it wouldn't let her get on because it read a message that said we need to insert the disc for it to update, well we called the school and they told us we had to send the computer through the mail because they needed to update it and they would send a box for it. Well the box didn't come until a week & my daughter couldn't get any work done because our computer didn't have the software she needed . We sent the computer out the day we got the box and didn't get her computer until another week she went 2 and half weeks with out being able to do school work ! If stuff like this happens to students there should be a plan that they send a computer out for her to work from until hers is done again .. I won't be sending my daughter back her again because of how much work she has missed..

I have 4 children attending TDA. We absolutely love it. They are so much better than the previous e schools we tried. The teachers and advisors email us regularly about how the students are doing. They respond very quickly to emails and have answered every questions we have very quickly. I am highly suspicious of the negative comments posted here as we have had no such experience. One thing is certain, your student needs to be responsible enough to actually do the work, if not keep them in a traditional school.

I would not recommend this school unless you are bedridden and desperate. My son finished a 3 week sesson over a few months due to it restarting and not going to the next level. The computers update and quit working correctly.. they ignore iep goals and try to get away with offering NO services to special needs children who have an IEP.. finish a level and wait days for the next level unlock ... rude staff.. poor communication.. I am disappointed.

treca was a waste of time I don't have anything nice to say, My child is now enrolled in QDA and she love's it. They take time to talk to you if you have a question's huge difference.

Treca treated us and a waste of their time. The teachers never answered emails from myself and my daughter. We never knew where my daughter stood on her courses and grades. We never heard once from anyone about how well or poorly my daughter was doing. The only time we heard anything was two or three days before Treca was held accountable for how well my daughter was doing through her OGT scores. A gentleman actually came to our home to inform us of her pending tests and to make sure she attended. I guess there funding was more important. As of today Friday July 20, 2012, we have yet to receive my daughter's test results. I've spoke to other parents who used Treca and they got the same treatment.
