Veritas Classical Academy does just what it says it will do. It takes young minds seriously! The curriculum is challenging, and the teachers are supportive, encouraging and praise the students. Students are rewarded for engaging in class and other activities in the school, creating a culture where they can thrive academically and socially. Virtues are part of the daily conversation, so that students "construct a virtuous character" while getting a love for lifelong learning. I am a college professor and I was recently asked to come in to guest teach in a high school classroom. I was so impressed with how quickly the Veritas High School students not only understood the material, but started to engage with it. They were able to draw conclusions and apply the lesson to others parts of their lives faster than my college students generally do!

Wow it is interesting to look back at old workplaces. Let me just say that, as a teacher, my time at Veritas was not at all good. It was disorganized, demanding, and hectic! Some people have a great experience like big donors or if they're friends/family of school founders... A lot of people don't. You should make your own decisions for employment/education. Hopefully this informs yours.

Very evangelical and not very diverse. The founders are also not very good people..

Wow. I am continually impressed with the student and family engagement at Veritas Classical Academy. As part of the faculty my heart was warmed with this review from a parent: “ November is for being grateful. It’s in that spirit that I send my absolute gratitude to the Veritas staff. Every day I see the extra effort each one of you puts forth. Every day I see you challenge and encourage our students and I am SO THANKFUL. My boys come home with smiles and contentment; eager to tell me about all of the happy experiences they had. I thank you deeply for taking the time. Teaching is not for the faint of heart but please know your dedication is seen and you are AMAZING! To show my appreciation-there will be lunch from McKennas catered for the Veritas Staff Thursday 11/9 as close to 11:00 as I can arrive.Thank you, gracias, grazie, merciLeslie, Beau and Cole LeBlanc” Thank you!

Our journey with Veritas Classical Academy has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment my children enrolled, it was evident that Veritas prioritizes academic excellence and a nurturing learning environment. The commitment to classical education principles has not only enriched my children's' intellectual growth, but also instilled a genuine love for learning that extends beyond the classroom. The faculty and staff at Veritas deserve commendation for their unwavering dedication and passion for education. Their expertise, coupled with a genuine concern for each student's well-being, creates an environment where my child feels not just academically supported but also cared for as an individual.I appreciate the emphasis on character development and the cultivation of critical thinking skills. The classical approach to education has provided my children with a strong foundation in various subjects, fostering a holistic understanding of the world and instilling a lifelong love for literature, history, and the arts.Communication with the faculty and administration has been seamless, and I appreciate the transparency and responsiveness exhibited by the school. Veritas prioritizes the partnership between educators and parents, fostering a collaborative approach to the educational journey of our children. This school is a blessing to our community.

What a lovely experience our students and their parents have at Veritas. To watch a student light up when acquiring knowledge and wisdom is inspiring to all who witness it. Thank you to our teachers for inculcating a love of learning in our students.

“No Career Paths - Only Retirees and Parents Need Apply”Disorganized and conflicting leadership. High expectations with no support. No career paths for young professionals. Misleading representation of opportunities and job requirements. Low salaries for a private school. No benefits. If you are a retiree teaching for the fun of it, or if you have a spouse who can provide for your family and you want to reduce tuition / be with your children at school, then this institution could be a fit for you. You certainly serve the school's business model of low tuition rates and the assumption of either a) low-cost expertise and wide-ranging, fully-formed curricula or b) the willingness to be long-suffering in exchange for family / financial benefits. Just be aware that turnover is high and you may be pressured to compromise on your values---or else.If you are a recent graduate or young professional, I strongly advise that you pursue other opportunities. Please listen to this review based on extensive personal experience. Do not spend more than one or two years here before moving on to a place that can actually offer you support and growth. The founders of this school will use you up and leave you with nothing to show for it. While they may express appreciation in the moment, they care more about their bottom line than your success or wellbeing. You will be expected to fill in for everything all the time. You will be overworked, underpaid, and ultimately discarded---provided you don't leave when you realize there is no plan beyond the upcoming year, nor are there benefits or actual performance reviews or mentorship. If you don't believe me and you are interviewing with this school in Marietta, Ohio---ask them why they can't retain young people more than a few years. If you are promised the opportunity to teach high school courses in your major... don't hold your breath. That's what local college professors are for.
