The school system, isn't preparing the kids for the real world, my kids never come home with books, they are just passing these kids along. I've never seem such a bunch of rude unprofessional teachers, they have educational degrees but they lack common sense. Quit trying to be these kids friend and teach them don't just pass them along. But then again maple heights as a whole has went from predominate home owners to mostly renters, they has nothing to do with it. It all starts at home, read to your kids, quiz them, check there homework. Quit buying all those name brand clothes and shoes and these electronic gadgets and focus on education. They should adapt the uniform policy, that so helps with the focus on education. Parents we gotta do better!

Maple Heights High School is not a great school by far. I have a child that attends this school. She has college hopes and we have found this school to be lacking in the preparations that are needed for college entry. My child is currently in the 10th grade and I her mother had to show her how to write a proper APA science term paper. She told me that her teacher never showed her that, and that they can just write down what ever they wanted. She has also informed me that some of the teachers curse as they teach the class. How are our children expected to get ready for college and the world if they staff don't even care. Not to mention the HORRIBLE BULLYING PROBLEM!! The extremely lacking Arts department. However you will be happy to know that the Sports department is not lacking and just received a BRAND NEW Stadium. GO MUSTANGS!!!

My 9th grade son had a terrible experience at this school his first year. His was harassed and picked on by fellow classmates. There was also a drop in all ofb his grades. How could any student. focus in a school where there is no discipline. It almost seem that the students ran the building.

I am a former student of this school. The years I spent here were among the worst of my life. As one of the few white students in school, I was constantly harassed, picked on, had my belongings stolen, etc. I was faced with racially-motivated speech quite often and the administration did little to stop it. Lackluster building, books, and education in general. Don't punish your children sending them here.

I've lived out here in Maple for over 17 years and I have witnessed a tremendous change within the school system, Thanks to a superb superintendent!! It has gotton a lot better on some of the PARENTS part as far as parentening for the most. These Teachers need to really be acknowledge, Honored by the parents for tolerating some of their children's pathetic, rude behavior. But their behavior has improved, unless they graduated or relocated out of the city.
