Our son attended Discovery School from 3rd-6th grade and we're so thankful for the education he received. I can't say enough positive things about the entire staff and this school. Absolutely the best private school and IB learning experience in this area.

My child has absolutely loved going to the "Little School in the Woods"! He has had so much fun this past year learning all sorts of new things. Miss Mary is absolutely amazing with her students! Any child that has the opportunity to be in her classroom is truly benefited!

This is my daughters 3rd year attending Discovery school and it has been nothing short of amazing in many ways. My favorite thing about it is how involved & caring the staff is and that they let kids be kids while making learning fun. My daughter is excited to go to school every day, we are so very grateful to be a part of such an amazing school.

We moved from a district on the west side of the county known for huge class sizes, young teaching staff, and pulling in large open enrollment numbers -- and lots of bullying. Discovery School took my child who had loved school and lost that love and gave him the joy of self-directed learning in Genius Hour, fed his love of nature and natural learning in Woods class, given him a deep perspective and framework for building thinking through units of inquiry. He gets bummed now when he DOESN'T have school instead of wishing for snow days. He's now above grade level in reading and math, and feels like he belongs, is cared for, and that this is his place. Best change we ever made.

Our child's Discovery School experience over the last 5 years has helped develop her sense of wonder and self confidence. The IB program is unlike anything found in this area The administration strives to see each child as an individual and encourage them to be the best version of themselves.

Discovery School is a hidden treasure in our community. The value of educating and nurturing the whole child is paramount here.

I used to love the school up until they got their new “head of school” this year. I rate this school a zero & thats even too high.

Some amazing teachers, but very poor leadership and management at administrator and board level. This is born out by the high turnover rate of teachers.
