Our family lives outside of the Manchester Local School District's attendance area. We waited two years to enroll our son because preschoolers are not eligible for open enrollment. Our son had already started kindergarten at a different school by the time he was accepted at Manchester. We decided to transfer him to Manchester and we are SO GLAD that we did. His original kindergarten class had 24 students and one roaming aide for all five kindergarten classes. The teacher begged parents to keep on top of their kids because she felt overwhelmed by the workload of such a large class. Our son was coming home each day more distressed than the day before, exhausted, upset, and his teacher told us he kept apologizing for everything he did, whether he was in trouble or not. His new class at Manchester has 18 students, a full-time aide in his classroom plus a roaming aide, and his teacher is energetic, upbeat, and firm yet supportive and encouraging with our son. She has seven years of teaching and a Master's Degree. Our son is thriving at Manchester. He says, "School is great!" almost daily. As a parent, I feel welcome and appreciated at Manchester. The atmosphere of the school is like a large family. Great fit for our child and family.

This school is wonderful, the teachers really work hard with each child and the principal is amazing!!!!

My grandchildren go to school at Manchester Elementary and we are very pleased with the progress the school has made with their rating.The teachers that have taught our boys [and are now teaching] are great.They take much pride in helping the children and seem to care deeply for each student.We are very impressed.
