Just like any school there are pros and cons. The diversity in this school is great. However, I would like for PWCS to invest in more money into this school due to the lockers and other areas being old. There are improvements on the way. My children had a great experience here. Everyone is different and each person will have a different experience. This school has improved a lot from the recent years. Hopefully, the school will continue to make improvements. My child likes this school than from her previous school. She stated the diversity is good and the learning is well rounded.

The administration and most of the teachers at this school are very supportive. A very nice experience for me and my parents.

Just really terrible experience for me. The worst three years of my life. The instruction on some of the hardest subjects such as spanish and math are just awful. I was in the IB programme and the foreign language department is in disaray and when i got to high school iwas smacke with a D+ in spanish three my freshman year which ruined my GPA. If i was a parent i would not let my kid go to this school. Yes its very diverse but the neighberhood surrounding it is not very affluent with disintrested parents. Which breeds lower test scores from under achieving students..........god awful.

The school is okay they teach to the Test (SOL) after they are done with the SOL test its just movie time in most classes. If your teacher thinks your kid need to re-take the class next year he or she will only get a D or F no matter what he does.

Very vigorous cirriculum. Awesome teachers - totally on point. Creative and intelligent students with a lot of drive. Very diverse population (I am very happy to send my children to this type of school - they learn to just accept everyone for who they are, and not what they look like or sound like - you gotta love that). Once through this school - the kids are truely ready to tackle whatever comes in high school.

They do not provide a good framework for or have an adequate understanding of special needs children. Their policies and support for special education are straight out of the 50's. The 1850's.
