I didn’t score what I was unfamiliar with, but I find Madison Middle School to be first rate concerning student achievement and and staff involvement. My grandson has grown academically and socially during grade 6 & 7 an will now enter 8th grade. As a former middle school teacher who has taught in rural, urban and suburban schools, there is no perfect school. There will always be bullying, sadly, and teachers you dislike and disagree with, but I find the administrators and teaching staff to be caring with a desire to move students forward with positivity.

Absolutely The Most Underrated School System In Lake County. Teachers Are Outstanding With Modern Outlook And Teaching Methods. Middle School Facilities Are Newer And Well Maintained. Have Had Nothing But Great Experiences With Their Entire System. Always Impressed.

My daughter has attended Madison Middle School for 6th, 7th, and now 8th grade. This is a new school building and it is clean and modern. They DO offer advanced classes, such as Advanced Language Arts, but as someone mentioned in another comment, you have to become involved as a parent, and not wait for things to be dropped into your lap. My daughter is a straight "A" student, is in sports, taking Freshman classes that will count towards graduation and is well-guided in this school. I, myself, went to a small, rural "Junior High" in a supposedly high middle class area and they pretty much just passed the kids through. So, in closing, I believe Madison Schools are a great choice for your child or children.

If you want your kids to have a good education Don't send your kids here! I just left Madison Middle School for various problems. This school is overcrowded and there is alot of bullying. They used to have enriched (advanced) Language Arts but they cut it. They needed more money for sports. All this school cares about is sports. They don't even have enough teachers. There is 1 janitor and the school is filthy. Teachers don't teach they just pass out worksheets. They have made so many budget cuts it's unbelievable. This school has lots of drug circles. The principal doesn't care. I was touched innapropriatly on the breast, I went to the principal he told me come see me tomorow. And he let the kid get away with it after I went & saw him. If you want your kids to go to a No Dicipline, Drug Circle, Filthy, No Teaching, Extra Programs School, Then this is for you. If not don't send your kids here!!

I am a former student of Madison Middle School and now a parent who has two children, one in elementary school & one in middle school. I am comparing this school to my children's. My parents had numerous problems with this school. They still complain about the poor quality of education, poor teachers, and unefficient, rude administrative staff. Maybe its because middle school students are hard students to tolerate? Whatever the reason, this school was a poor, unsatisificatory school to attend.
