Lincoln Thomson is such a great school! We were hesitant to enroll in LPS due to the 'stats', but we would have been selling ourselves short had we let that be our deciding factor. Our experience with this school has been phenomenal. We have received more than we even could have ever hoped for. The teachers and staff are all so pleasant and helpful. The care they have for all of the children is very obvious. The class sizes are very small so each kid gets a lot of attention. The kids are all so nice to one another and the programs used for reading and math have been exceptional. I wasn't expecting for our son to be reading on his own before first grade. We, as parents, have been presented with so many opportunities to get involved in the PTO, school events and extras, like helping the kids check out books from their school library. My son has received all of the special services he needed without any need to remind or ask. There has not been a single issue over this year or anyone we don't owe a huge thank you to, from the staff in the cafeteria to the Principal. We highly recommend Lincoln Thomson and are so happy our sons will be attending this elementary school.

A strong 3 do to the following reason : I Like principal foster to a point but don't like the nurse or the secretary and it's a mixed bag as far as the teachers ( my child had a nice one and a one who I feel is very short tempered and rude .the staff are very clicky ( they like who they like, members of the pto or staff are either family or friends ). Parents out side of favorite are spoken to rudely at times. if your children fit the "click mold" they will be favored and treated better over children who don't . They don't communicate with each other clearly and often parents are treated like jokes in my experience if you are a parent who really watches and catches things like a hawk ( i am such a parent)they don't want you in the building for any reason and quick to pacify you and give you lip service to get you on your way quickly.

Great teachers and a great principal, my child has gone to this school for four years and I could not be happier that she goes here!! *****I can't believe a parent would actually be mad that their child in K- grade 2 is not allowed to walk home so they rate the school as a whole a 1 star. I guess her parenting deserves the same 1 star if that, my childs safty comes first in this school that alone deserves 10 stars!

My children have gone to Lincoln - Thomson for a couple years and I have a a wonderful experience!! The principal and all the teachers go out of their way to help every child! The PTO is great!! The children are able to walk home from school my son has done it from 3rd grade on. The children have to be in the third grade and up to be able to walk home from school and the parents have to write a letter to the school telling that it is ok for them to walk home.

So bad mean teacher ,bad experince last year!! Ok so new year clean slate , go back with a new attitude right only to have the very first day turn into a nightmare as the end of day came children that were suppose to walk home from school were informed that not in this school would any child be allowed to walk without and adult ( we are talking about kids 9 and up here ) do they think all parents sit at home all day and do nothing ! This is not a law only someone power hungrys idea . I don"t see how they can be allowed to enforce such a stupid thing!!
