My husband and I have 5 kids between us (2 each from our first marriages and 1 together). All of our kids have gone to this school. We have basically had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Our youngest is in 7th grade this year and every year I feel so blessed for the amazing teachers she has! They put their heart and soul into their students and teachings. Never had a problem with ANY teacher here, they are all so wonderful.

I would give Lutz an “A”. We have had great experience with administration, teachers and staff who care and truly want to help our kids succeed.

I love this school. I did school choice to make sure she came here and not her neighbor school. Teachers are amazing and the administrators are always there for the students.

Terrible. Would not send my dog there. Test scores do not measure the quality of people in the facility.

my first grader came to me one day after school and mentioned icecream would be a great idea being as his throat was sore from a 5th grader choking him while in class. the teacher had no idea what was going on as she was just stapling papers. i asked to speak to the principal multiple times each morning that i had dropped him but she was 'always in a meeting' conveniently. when i spoke to the teacher she did not have any idea nor did she believe this. when they did an investigation the teacher told me that my son was correct, as they questioned other classmates they all saw and told the same story and the 5th grader had been bullying other kids as he vistied the classroom for three consecutive days and the 5th grader will no longer be in the classroom and he had problems that is the reason he was sent to her class.the principal never contacted us till this day. this is the reason bullying is so common these days, staffing tries to hide and iognore it as much as they can to save themselves from getting into trouble. if i cannot even trust someone to protect my child while in the classroom how can i trust to sewnd them to a school all day that takes no action for the severity of this kind of problem.

Overall, the school is good. It is not great and the teachers could turn out much higher educated students with just a little more effort. If they put half the energy into education as they do the boosterthon it would be amazing. Our kid loves the school and the teachers. We have done a lot of teaching at home because the teachers do not seem to monitor student work during the day. This has been evident in each grade so far.

Our 4 kids are at Lutz Elementary, and I wouldn't have them anywhere else. Lutz Elementary is a big part of what makes Lutz such a great place to raise children. The staff is wonderful, the kids are very happy and well prepared for middle school. My oldest is in advanced placement classes in middle school now, and Lutz Elementary had everything to do with that.

This is my son's first year (kindergarten) at Lutz and I have to say that overall I am grateful and impressed. My son is an only child who didn't really attend daycare so there was a bit of an adjustment period and the staff and teacher is very understanding. Whenever I email his teacher or call the front office my concerns are addressed in a quick manner. I hope that the future years are good as well.

Lutz Elementary has been great from Kindergarten to 3rd grade, wonderful teachers, encouraging, organized, made learning fun and showed an interest in the children. Fourth grade is another story. We had to have a conference with the teacher and principal during the first few weeks of school and have my child moved to another class. Name calling, done by the teacher, no self esteem given to the children. Not happy even after the change. The teachers are not making learning fun. They do not grade homework papers or classroom work. They choose a child to walk around the class and put a check on the students' papers if they did their work. She does not collect the papers and read them and grade them herself. Some teachers are on the phone during class and asking them to be quiet so they can take the call. Also the teacher is always texting during class. And much, much more! Very disappointed in fourth grade.

It's a great school when it comes to my daughter's first grade teacher. She is a loving and very caring one on one helper. When the Fall Festival came about this year my family and I were very disappointed. A student pie contest was there and a woman won the contest. She even baked all the goods there were selling there. My opinion that was unfair for all the children.

Luts is ok, hate the 5th grade part of it, had to change teacher because favoritism plays a Huge part of alot of what goes on in class between teachers and students!!! but 2nd grade teachers are The best!!!!super assistant principal!! Dont see much of the principal at all.Kindergarten is very disappointing, they play alot and do pre k work for too long, class sizes are not balanced in any grades and the school does need a make over alot of the class rooms. The smell of mold in some of the 1st grade class rooms is over powering at times.

Lutz Elementary is not only consistently an A school, it is very family oriented with a great traditions. My husband's family were pioneers in Lutz and we've had family members attend ever since the school opened. My grandson now attends and is in second grade. Even if we move out of the area, we would still seek special assignment just to attend. Keep up the good work and thanks for educating our children to the maximum and for keeping them safe day after day, year after year. WE LOVE LUTZ!

I have absolutely loved the school and staff. especially kindergarten and now first grade teacher Mrs. Hoffman! she has shown my child so much love that not sure how we are going to continue our lives with out her. I am certain LE will live up to our standards!

Very disappointed in the 5th grade teachers, all but one. In my opinion 5th grade at LE needs an over haul. The principle has her blinders on when it come to 5th grade at this school. Many problems have been brought to her attention and year after year it is the same, nothing is done to improve or remove the teachers that cause the problems! Take your child out of this school before they reach 5th grade it is BAD!

LE is an ok school. I have to say that my kids did enjoy the teacher they had and that she did well in teaching them. However, the school overall just seemed dirty and old not presenting a "culture" for learning. I asked if my children could be tested or offerred advanced lessons to match the ability they were showing, and was told no due to age rules. We were disapointed. So, we have left Lutz Elementary as we felt the status quo was all that they could offer, not the best enrichment education our kids needed.

Excellent school. Teachers and staff go above and beyond their duties. They always put the children's academics and safety first.
