Great School with wonderful staff..... Would recommend school to anyone. Small but good. Teachers actually care about the students

This is a great small town school. The rating is difficult to assess here because statistical variance in a small population of students makes quantitative assessment erratic from year to year. Nevertheless, the former superintendent has been replaced (2011) by a fantastic woman who is a great resource for teachers, parents, and most importantly...students. The classes are quite small, which for elementary students, is proven to be a predictor of longer-term success. This year (2012) there is a growing acknowledgement for differentiated instruction among the school's student population. That is, if a child struggles his/her needs will be attended to. Conversely, if a child excels she/he will not be expected to languish in the requisite-bordem-model to which many larger schools must succumb for lack of resources. The standardized testing model of performance does not acknowledge any of these advantages, nor does it address how caring the staff and teachers are to the community's greatest resources--the children. Many of whom may come from less than wealthy origins. Small but mighty despite NCLB harmful effects.
