We moved to Los Banos this past summer and this was our children’s first year. I have a 1st grader and 3rd grader. I am more than impressed with how well this school is organized. Both my children received additional reading resource and were able to meet grade level expectations. The emphasis on academics and positive school culture far surpassed our expectations. Our kids are proud to wear their school swag (the school gives out t-shirts like candy). I hope the schools will be open to parent volunteers next year. It was a bummer for the campus to be closed off, I felt like the parent involvement could be improved.

School is nice but I don't understand why they don't give kids homework?? From my child doing homework everyday to nothing is ridiculous. 1 page a week is laughable. Communication with teachers would.be nice too.

The principle in this school can careless about the students if your son is having any trouble he fixes the problem by unrolling the student out! Its very sad to see someone wanting to pursues a job this special and important as a principle and does not accomplish nothing in helping students. When he does not see he's hurting the students by unrolling and starting over.

I really like this school. The rules are simple, yet understandable for kids. Parent club needs more volunteers but I've seen them do the best they can. The principle is very involved with the students, staff and parents. They have activities on certain days for the children. I underestimated this school, now I'm a very happy parent. Teachers are great too!

When my son complained of being the victim of repeated physical assaults at school, the principal remedied the situation by un-enrolling my son from Westside Elementary instead of addressing the situation in an appropriate manner. FAIL!!!
