I am very pleased with the school and the support it provides to both students and parents. The pickup process is very organized, and they offer valet services, which run smoothly every time. I have three boys enrolled here, and we drive from outside the area just to bring them to this school. We love how small and intimate the school is it truly feels like a family community. The curriculum is challenging, but I appreciate how it encourages my children to push themselves to meet high expectations. They’ve participated in science fairs at such a young age, which has impressed us.The school also offers before- and after-school programs, which are incredibly helpful for our family. They organize fun events like Spirit Week and other activities, and my boys are always excited to go to school. If you value strong student-teacher relationships, I highly recommend STEM Prep.

We are so blessed to have SPECS in our community! I would have loved to have been a student here growing up. The principal Mrs. Holt is a dream with kids, she is always so helpful and easy to find! We are so lucky to have our daughter's wonderful TK teacher Ms. Preciado-Negrete, who goes above and beyond for her students. As a parent, I feel supported and encouraged to be as active as I can be in my daughter's education. I look forward to the next exciting years at SPECS because the entire staff make it such a positive experience. Thank you all!!

My daughters, have been attending this school for the past 3 years. This was their first elementary school experience, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. They come home from school excited, and eager to learn more. They love sharing about what they've learned, their experiences, and about their teachers (who they LOVE). What I love about this school is how active and involved Principal Haver-Holt is with her students. She doesn't stay in her office all day, and is actively involved in student pick up/drop-off, awards ceremonies, and class to class engagement. Family nights are fairly regular, and they're always a memorable time for all of us. I love how we receive text notifications and have different platforms such as ClassDojo and Parent Square to keep us in the loop about what's going on from day to day. I also really appreciate that anytime I call the school they always answer, and I never feel like I won't be able to get in contact with my child in need of an emergency (yes this is a real thing I've dealt with in other schools!). I am so grateful to have found STEM prep for my kids and again, I 10/10 recommend

As an aunt of a student that attends STEM Prep Elementary, I am very pleased with the education my student receives. Not only is their teacher very supportive and caring, but the overall staff is also amazing. From the office staff to the playground staff to the principal. They make sure the students feel safe, supported, and heard. I am very pleased with the decision of attending this school and I would recommend it to all parents.

I am a parent at STEM Preparatory Elementary School and my experience with the school, teachers, staff, and administration has been amazing. They are always greeting you with a smile and care about each child individually. The teachers take the time to build relationships with the students and get to know them and their interests genuinely.

As a former teacher at this school, I strongly advise against enrolling your child here or considering employment. High staff turnover and low morale are pervasive. Behavioral issues are rampant and inadequately addressed, with incidents including injuries to teachers and life-threatening behavior. Students are not held accountable. Grading policies are misleading, inflating student performance. Teachers are pressured to avoid failing students, and promotion policies are lax, with no suspensions or expulsions. The administration prioritizes numbers over genuine learning. Instruction is heavily focused on state testing, creating confusion. Support for students with disabilities is severely lacking, and teacher assistants face unrealistic expectations with inadequate compensation. The school’s physical environment is also inadequate, lacking essential facilities and posing safety risks. Teachers, though dedicated, are overwhelmed with constant meetings and new responsibilities, leaving little time for meaningful lesson planning

STEM Prep Elementary is an amazing school. Teachers and Staff are kind and very professional, The core values for this school help build strong and compassionate character and integrity. We are Family, We are STEM thinkers and We are Agents of Change. Academically this school helped my son strive, He has been part of honor roll and high honor roll coming up from not being able to read or multiply at grade level. STEM Prep offers academic advantages to all grades, ages, and race. SPES (STEM Prep Elementary School) offers the help to student who need the extra help or attention academically. Overall SPES is a great school for all and i plan for my children to keep attending.
