This our first year with the school and we have been very impressed with how they have dealt with the pandemic, how our child is growing in learning and the level of transparency when there are issues. Even though we are living through the pandemic ( children are back school) they have still found a way to give us a sense of community

I would have to say that Father Alden needs to incorporate in his lessons that "We are all God's children." My child was at this school for 3 years and was bullied and screamed at by the teachers starting in kindergarten. Administration is notified, but nothing is done about it. DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

My daughter attended this school since kinder until 6th grade. During her 5th grade, the principal and vice principal were replaced by someone with very limited experience . During her 6th grade she was bullied. My daughter 12 years old was punched in the stomach by a 13 yr old boy. A boy bigger than me. Not once but 4 times. We talked to the principal and was given assurance that the school does not tolerate bullying and would apply appropriate actions. What they did was really unacceptable, they asked the bully to write a apology letter and that was the end of it. We ended up removing our child from the school. But God always provides, my daughter is doing well in her new school and she is very happy. For safety of your child, reconsider before enrolling them here.

I recently interviewed for a teaching position at St. Genevieve Elementary School. Not only did Amanda Allen and Dan Horn waste three hours of my time, they talked to each other while I was answering questions and were on their cell phones during the interview. Adding insult to injury, cocky Dan Horn did not even make an effort to thank me for taking so much of my valuable time. Whether being considered for a job or not, there is a level of decorum that is expected by school districts when interviewing potential candidates. They obviously failed in this regard. Do we want these people as role models for our children? This incident has been reported to the diocese as their egregious behavior and inappropriate interviewing practice will not be tolerated!!

I enrolled my child here due to the.good reviews I've read. The education is really terrible. The environment is so old. The classrooms looked so disorganized and messy and the education is poor. I don't get it why there are some people who still thinks this is a good.school. We are so.done with this school and one year was more than enough to bear. I wouldn't recommend this school to anybody. Plus, they have the nerves to.raise the tuition fee. I would rather enroll my.child to anotherCatholic school.where I will get my money's worth.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE SCHOOL WAS REMOVED. THAT SHOULD BE A BIG SIGN TO ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS SCHOOL. I DID NOT VIOLATE ANY TERMS OF THIS SITE AND STATED MY OPINION TRUTHFULLY. IT WAS PROBABLY REPORTED BY THE NEW STAFF AT THIS SCHOOL. PARENTS BEWARE! THIS SCHOOL IS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND HAS A LOT TO HIDE!! NOTICE NO REVIEWS SINCE JUNE 2013 WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS WAAAAY BETTER!!

Wonderful environment for children to grow, Public school really! If your child has deficit in learning or physical. I do agree public schools do have the resources. If anyone including teachers administration tells you or advices u to keep them here they are not acting to the best interest for that child. God Bless!

If you are looking for a school with smaller classes than this school is not for you. For lower grades they have over 25- 30 kinds in one classroom and therefore it is impossible to teach or learn. The School is constantly changing programs and instead of simplifying things they make everything complicated putting lots of pressure on the kinds and teachers. IF I have to choose between this school and public I will definitely go with public schools.

Our child is in KB class and has shown us tremendous growth in her first year at St. Gen. Although she can be shy at times, the teachers really brought her to a new level of learning and higher education. The attention to details and the honesty in the teacher's assessment of each child is of great benefit for the parent to know what we needed to work on with our child. Knowing that she comes home talking about what she learned, about her lessons on God and the teachings of the day, we feel more parents should consider enrolling their children in this school. We have been pleased with the lesson strength and the educational growth our daughter has experienced. The KB teachers truly put in a herculian effort in their daily duties to teach and show attention to each student equally. St. Gen sincerely goes the extra mile to bring each child closer to God while learning from a well designed educational program.

This is an awesome school! It offers everything from high academic standards, an outstanding Decathlon Team winning 4th place out of 100 schools this year; the Drumline won the Southern California Championship this year; the Cherubim Choir won the Gold Award for the 7th time; and the school was named an Apple Distinguished School for its innovative use of the iPads in the classroom!!! Everything about the school is wonderful - the atmosphere, the teachers, the children...

St. Genevieve Elementary is a wonderful school to send your child/children for a well rounded education. St. Genevieve has a terrific music program with Drum line, Jazz Band, Cherubim choir, they also placed fourth in decathlon out of 102 schools. St. Genevieve also received The Most Distinguished Apple Award for 2011 - 2012. I have sent my 4 children to St. Genevieve and my husband also attended the elementary and had a very good experience.
