It is getting progressively more difficult to deal with school administration. Every request gets turned down. Somehow bullying is ok if your child has disability. I feel like school wants your child to leave if he/she has special needs.

We love Or Hachaim Academy. The dean of the school is an exceptional man, whose priorities are to make Jewish education available to all Jewish children. The school is very welcoming, warm and always strive to incorporate self-esteem, confidence and kindness to children. Wonderful warm environment

Our child has been thriving at the pree-school and now elementary, and we couldn't be happier. They work with us on everything, from costs to communicating ideas or concerns if they come up. They have a helpful and useful website and are integrating some pretty neat technology in the school too for the children to learn from , such as smart boards. The school is always clean, the staff always available to listen and help in anyway. The student and parent body feels like a great growing warm community and the children are taught a whole bunch of diverse amazing things each day, I was blown away by the curriculum for the 1st year elementary class, both in secular studies and in the Jewish and Hebrew classes. Our daughter was taught to fully read in to languages in a matter of months while age 5. Super impressed and beyond thankful.

I am extremely proud to be an Or Hachaim parent. They are constantly and consistently looking into current teaching methods and technology that will benefit all students. I can only say that this is a school that I would highly recommend to all families looking for a balanced Judaic and secular studies program. There is a reason why this school is growing by leaps and bounds. It is a newly discovered secret amongst the ashkenaz Jews in the valley. Most sefardim already knew this! It has great leadership. Rabbi Gabay makes the students proud to be Jewish and Mrs. Raskin is a highly regarded leader in administration. The teachers are able to reach each student through their differentiated instruction and the care and commitment they show. My children love going to school daily and have a special connection to their teachers and administration. It has an involved parent body and a close connection to the community.
