This school has a great kindergarten teacher, Ms.Gandara. Other than that this school is terrible. If your child is black PLEASE AVOID THIS SCHOOL AT ALL COSTS. LAUSD will bus your children to better schools! There was an incident in my child's kindergarten class last year where a little girl told my child she couldn't be friends with her because her skin is black. told the principal and called the district and was was told by principal Salazar "At least she is dealing with it now and not later" what!? My 5 year old shouldn't deal with it at all! The district had basically told me that the school is in a predominantly Hispanic area and those things happen. Smh I pulled my child out. This school and the entire area of Boyle heights is racist, they teach nothing about other cultures nor celebrate other cultures in this area and so is the districts councilman KEVIN DE LEON! (RACIST) smh.To have to deal with a people that struggle the way most minorities struggle and get put down by them is discerning and vile. Listen! We are all humans. Treat EVERYONE with love and respect but mostly kindness! We should be brothers and sisters fighting the good cause of equality. Not teaching our babies to hate. Do better.

The reason I gave this school an excellent is because the teachers try so hard to teach the students. In the school I had a teacher that I admired so much. Every time I had a problem I felt free to talk to her about it.
