I’m shocked they even have 3 stars tbh because this school should get a 0 due to the staff and Jennifer and Rodi. 2 Con artists

My son attended this school full time from 18 months to pre kindergarten. Everyone of the director words are completely true. But also, from my observation, they strive for perfection in their organization and they attained with the experience we received. At two plus years old my son was explaining the transformation of a butterfly with exact precision AND spelling all the words involved CORRECTLY- at two!!! How did they do that? I still dont know! He learned to read and write the alphabet with happiness and easily and graduated from the pre school more prepared for the second grade rather than kindergarten. They truly make learning fun and they make it look like they do it so easy! He had such a great fun time at The Boulevard School. He loved going to that school every day. Now at 20 years old he has always been in the top 1 percent of the COUNTRY in his standardized test scores and excels with taking tests. His confidence academically, success, and great socialization skills I directly link to his privilege of having been able to have attended this school. Not all children are a good fit for every school. If they do not think your child would excel in their environment they will say so. The staff are meticulous and professional and work very hard at what they do. The bad reviews are petty and hard to believe. The top schools always have kids that wash out. And that's what I see, from my point of view.

I went to this school to place my 19 month old son. The school stated that they had no availability to fit my schedule. They failed to offer me a tour nor did they seem interested in discussing possible future availability. They didn't ask for any of my contact information and seemed completely disinterested. They failed to acknowledge my little boy, who happens to be as cute as a button, and did not greet or look at him during the entire 10 minutes that I was in their office. I'm very certain that I'll look back and be very happy that this happened and that I didn't take my son there. A bad preschool and/or bad preschool management can be a total nightmare so I implore everyone to just be careful before choosing this place and go with your gut feeling after talking to them.

I agree with most of the comments made about the office staff, they are cold, condesending, rude and only are interested in getting paid. This school nickels and dimes for everything from pictures at grandparents day to asking parents to supply healthy snack (I'm sorry, $1000 a month doesn't afford a healthy snack?), to supplying teachers with crafts for the kids to create. Not only do they nickel and dime, but then have the nerve to run fundraisers and ask for "box tops".

I noticed that the director rated her own school with a 5. Truthfully, your experience here will depend on your child. I have heard good and bad experiences. Some of the staff are lovely people and I agree with the other parent that the head of the school can be very cold. The teachers that we had were very nice. If your child is not a high achiever than this may not be a good fit. The reason why they can brag about preparedness is that the children who are strong academically would do well with good instruction anywhere. If your child isn't ready for that or struggles then they most likely won't be happy here. Just like with anything else, you need to know your child and see for yourself. It is not for everyone.I know several people who were not happy and did not put their second child there. Some other people are satisfied.

The boulevard school has been so rewarding for my child these past two years. She started off a very shy and clingy child and has just blossomed. She is now a confident and very social child. Their playgrounds are fantastic and the kids get to do such creative art projects. She is also well prepared for kindergarten - knows her letters, numbers, how to write her name and simple addition. They also have the kids do a lot of low pressure speaking in front of the class which is such a confidence booster for them. Their values curriculum is great - they really emphasize the importance of being a respectful and kind person.

I am a director at The Boulevard School and responding to the unflattering review, as I know the parents who wrote those reviews. The complaint about the two year old program was because we felt her child would do better in a smaller environment. This child needed a smaller, less stimulating environment and this was hard for the parents to hear. As for the sunscreen, we reapply after lunch to those who bring sunscreen. We cannot share due to allergies. As for teacher sick days, this parent is illinformed. Teachers get many paid personal and sick days. Finally, our mixture of academics and developmental learning has proved to be one of the most successful. While we do include colorful worksheets, much of our academics is taught through visual, auditory and tactile approaches. Our graduates are prepared academically, socially and emotionally. We produce independent confident problem-solvers who have a great love of learning. The proof of our success is in the eagerness in which all elementary schools eagerly admit our graduates, often into accelerated programs.

Honestly this is the tale of two schools here. There is definitely coldness from the director and inefficiencies in the financial dept. I did like many of the teachers however the 2 year program in our experience was really not good. The expectation for behavior of a small child to "be good", "do as they are told" and sit for more than a few minutes is not only unrealistic, but not developmentally possible for most children. We did have better experiences with the older grades. They consider themselves "academic" when it really is drilling things into the children using dittos. They do not reapply sunscreen or put on hats so be prepared for severe sunburns. I always put it on in the morning, but during a long day, it needs to be reapplied. I left it there, but it never happened. They do not give sick days to teachers so they don't get paid if they need a day. That leads to them coming in when they aren't well and puts unneeded pressure on them. Teachers should be treated better. Your child's experience will depend sharply on what teacher they get an how well they are able to sit still.

I don't know what the other parent is talking about. Sounds like sour grapes. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the office. They treat the students like their own children and have given very useful advise over the years. The office staff often comtacts me simply to share a funny incident about my child. They are very knowledgable in child development and preschool education. My children love coming to school and my older child is thriving in second grade, amazing the teacher with her academic skills. Don't hesitate to send your child here.

I am apalled at the disparaging comments about our director. I have been employed at The Boulevard School for over ten years. I have worked at other schools and have never been at a school that is run so efficiently, with high morals and compassion for everyone involved. The curriculum is superb, preparing our students for any school they attend, whether private or public. The office bends over backwards to make accommodations for parents with specific needs, or children who learn outside the box. The parent that is complaining about the director is angry because the office refuses to allow the parents to dictate policy and staffing. The office is allowing a teacher to return after a months absence due to a horrific personal tragedy. Should the office compound the teacher's problems by refusing employment? The children will do fine when the teacher returns and the office will be watching, doing what is best for the students.

Funny, seems like Im not the only one finding the office staff completely rude. To me a doctor is only as good as the front office staff- Its the same way here. The person with the lowest education and worst personality is in control of your whole world and outcomes. Things come up with your kids. A LOT! You want to work with people who are helpful and caring. I remember how difficult it is to find the first school for your baby. Someone you trust and is loving like you are.... I'm telling you from experience, as a mother of 3 now, this isn't the place. You want to work with people who are helpful and caring. Not rude. Who needs that as you are dumping a grand a month in their pockets. Nobody in our area does because there are too many other options.
