My son is in his first year at Alta Loma and we love it. He is excited to come to school every day and he has an incredibly loving and fantastic teacher. The teachers and staff are visibly working so hard to make Alta Loma a wonderful and supportive environment for their students. The school’s communication to parents is thorough and they appear to do a great job at taking advantage of resources available. There’s a really lovely energy on the Alta Loma campus and we’re so happy to have our son enrolled.

As a parent of a 1st and 3rd grader at Alta Loma I find the teachers to be passionate about instruction and effective in communicating with parents about opportunities for kids to develop and thrive. Our son and daughter continue to share unique learning experiences in their respective classrooms and I really credit the teachers for creating a positive learning environment. We are pleased with the resources available to challenge kids that learn at an advanced pace. Keep up the great work!

I have been at this school for 15 years. We are the Little Engine that could!. Right now, we are at our best yet and improving every day! The data on this website is outdated. The information is impossible to get changed. If you are researching a school, I urge you to come and visit! We have an open door policy towards welcoming prospective students! Call and make an appointment for a tour. Judging a book by it's outdated Great Schools "cover" is not the way to pick an elementary school!

My daughter and son went to this school for seven and loved it. My daughter was vice presedent and the teachers where very helpful and supportive. Their new principal was very nice and most likely the best they ever had. The teachers push the students too do good. But my daughter told there were some kids who would not learn or pay any attention to the teachers, the kids who did want to learn did amazing in the state test but unfortunately there were very few kids who did want to learn. Overall this is a very good school and your child should enjoy it.

Alta Loma is a good school , good teachers ,parent center,PTA ,but it needs a good principal. It seems to me that she doesn't support the teachers and respect them as she should do. The teachers do what they can ,do their best . As a very involved parent I saw many things that I didn't like about her , like the way she treated a parent on a PTA meeting ,also teachers. She has two faces .I decided to take my children to another school,I just can't stand what's going on at Alta Loma.Again good teachers but not a good principal.

Unfortunately there is a lot of bullying in this school and the principals response to this is was minimal. First could not make appointment to talk with principal so i just showed up to office. Once there i tried explaining to principal bullying situation which she kept cutting me off. She did not let me talk. I did not sign up my son to come to school to be arguing with the other childs mom and constantly being at my sons school to ensure his safety. When a particular kid is bullying every child in his classroom and physically hurting them everyday including teacher, then something should be done not just let the situation progress. It has now progressed to this particular kid throwing chairs.
