Very positive for the most part. They are only in their 2nd year in their new location. Campus is brand new and beautiful. More can be done for extracurricular and afterschool programs. They need a counselor to deal with the issues that the community demographics bring. Since no holidays are celebrated at the school during school hours, students tend to get bored so teachers and aides must think outside the box to make it fun. A lot of the celebration responsibility will land on teachers and parent volunteers. However, my best memories of elementary school were during our holiday celebrations so I do wish they celebrated Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, V-day, St. Patricks, Hispanic and African American history months.

This school is poorly organized. We received a letter about a school meeting upon getting there we are told that the principle didn't have a clue about any meeting. HELLO YOUR NAME IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LETTER YOU MUST GIVE THE APPROVAL TO SEND THESE LETTERS OUT. Not only that but our pre-application had gone missing for a week we went back to check up on the status and they couldn't find it. First impressions are very important especially when it comes to an institution that will be teaching my child the basics to have better enlightenment. The reflection that i received was the way my childs' education could be treated. There should be better organization. If thats the way they handle admissions i can only imagine how they handle children's education. The people there represent the institute, they carry the schools name and it is being carried poorly.

We love ACES! Finding a school with such a commitment to nurturing the kids, high academic expectations, and that welcomes parental involvement is a real gem in the landscape of public schools in our area. Anyone concerned about scores and test results they see should keep in mind that this is a dual-immersion school and kids won't reflect the higher scores until the upper grades. Allowing your child to learn another language is INVALUABLE in our global society and it's so neat to see the kids work together to teach each other their native languages. A brand new campus is in the works for this amazing, up and coming school!
