Anytime my son would misbehave they would send him straight to the office and write him a referral no mater what he did. In third grade he was sent to the office for sharpening his pencil while the teacher was talking. he has trouble focusing in class and there were only two teachers of his whole time there that would help him in class. The other teachers just send him straight to the office. Very close-minded school what every student has to fit the same mold.

Horrible. I don’t recommend this school for anyone.

This school is terrible and completely overrated! I wrote a review about it a few years ago but I see that it conveniently disappeared?? My child was very much left behind and not important to anyone. If however my child had been an English learner (EL), it would have been a complete different story. California school system has gone to hell...Dumb them down is what is really going on. Thanks for nothing Buena Vista! Stop removing my review!!!

The teachers provide the students with great ways to support both their reading and math skills. They suggest ways to work with your children at home and care about each student. The front office staff is amazing.

Buena Vista Elementary is by far the best elementary school my children have attended. The teachers and office staff are always caring and always refer to the kids by name.

We've been at Buena Vista for 4 years now and honestly can't say enough positive about the teachers, the principal, the programs for their students and the overall commitment to student learning! And I love the family involvement at the school - I've never seen so many parent volunteers - a wonderful community, and an amazing school!

My child has loved her teachers and they've all been very easy for parents to talk to. The teachers, principal and staff are committed to the children.

I think Buena Vista has the most dedicated teachers and school personnel in Lompoc they make sure each and every student has everything they need in order to grow into very successful individuals. Our principle is very supportive of the teachers and parents she will make time out of her busy schedule if we have concerns or any questions.
