Most teachers are amazing! School itself is old and in a horrible location. If I needed to go to the nurse’s office immediately from the middle school building, I would need to climb two flights of stairs first. Also, building is right on the highway. School is somewhat clean but has frequent issues with ants. Curriculum is boring. Has an okay-ish special-ed program. Not much diversity either.

The teachers here are amazing. The staff is very supportive and positive. The school does face overcrowding I and there is a bond proposal to build a separate elementary school in 2016.

After attending three schools in as many years, it took us a while to rule out stress and realize our oldest child has some special educational needs. While Lolo took a little while to get on board with us, once they realized that the issue wasn't behavioral, they've thrown full support behind both of our kids, working to make our younger child feel just as important as the oldest. The school has been great to work with--all of the staff know our kids and us by name, the teachers are caring and work hard to help each child reach their potential. The meal menu could use some work--it's become healthy to the point of being unpalatable (how many kids will really eat sweet potato tater tots?). With the number of kids in the school on free and reduced lunches, they could really use to focus on making sure everyone is getting the fuel they need, even if it is a little more calorie-dense. Parking for events is a nightmare and so is pick-up and drop-off, but there are plans for a great new school in a much safer location. Here's hoping!
